“Good location for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park”
Reviewed 2 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

The owner's were very accommodating, answered our inquiries promptly and the cabin was well provisioned, the welcoming basket of treats and coffee was a nice touch. Warning, beware of the cabin's heater. It overhangs the kitchen counter, toaster oven and the micro fridge and since it is not visible to a person bending over or under the counter to use these appliances, a person may easily hit their head. I recommend bringing a flashlight/headlamp to be able to read in the double bed. The view of the mountains is very nice from the parking area and lawn but is not visible from inside the cabin or from the porch. There is no kitchen table or comfortable way to sit and eat in the cabin but there is an outside picnic bench and there is a small folding table on the porch. As noted in other reviews the WiFi signal was sometimes weak and intermittent and it is very dependent upon the positioning of the device. We had a very good time hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park on trails that were only an hour to an hour and a half drive from the cabin.

“Cute Cabin”
Reviewed 4 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This cabin was very cute, convenient and as others have stated stocked with everything you might need.

A couple things that need improvement...the murphy bed is noisy and can be fixed by replacing some of the boards giving them space to move. My husband and I couldn't share the bed because it creaks so bad towards the outside.

Anyone with a dust allergy (as I have) will have trouble. While the cabin is not cluttered and the bathroom and sink are clean and free of mold, there is a lot of dust. I did some dusting while I was there and swept under the beds but, the quilts that hang above the bathroom, the fixtures, nick-naks and rugs all need a good cleaning/mopping.

My husband is 6 foot and he had no trouble in the shower at all. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.

Thank you for your comments. We have addressed the creak in the bed frame and cleaned the hanging quilts. Nice to know tall people fit in the shower!

“It was a very enjoyable stay!”
Reviewed 27 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was very clean and the owners were very courteous and accommodating. Having muffins, coffee and fruit in a basket was a nice accent. The gas fireplace gave the cabin a nice cozy effect. We plan to be back at this cabin again sometime!

“Cozy, quiet and a bit of history!”

A co-worker and I were in Denver for a conference and decided to take advantage of the opportunity to visit Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a last minute trip, so Estes Park was already booked up because of the Scottish Festival. A friend recommended that I look into Longmont, and I'm so glad he did! Found this gem of a place that offered easy access to main road into Estes Park, which was about a 40 minute drive, depending on traffic. Close to town, but located on a quiet side road. The cabin was formerly in town, but moved onto the current property because it was the occupied by one of the planners of Trail Ridge Road!

It was small and modified for indoor plumbing, clearly. The bathroom was tiny - if you are over 6' tall, I wouldn't recommend it. There were a couple of spiders that visited us, as well as a cricket, so if you are squeamish about that, you may not enjoy the rustic nature of the cabin. I found the Murphy bed very comfortable; small kitchenette with all the housewares you would need, and tasty treats provided by our hostess Billie! Great sitting area outside the front door. Wi-fi signal a bit weak, but I didn't need it - I was there to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, after all. I enjoyed my two nights there!

“Cozy rustic cabin near Estes & Denver.”
Reviewed 5 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

My husband & I stayed at this cute little cabin for 3 days while we visited Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park & Denver areas. It was a great central location for everything & even though it was close to other houses, it was very quiet & peaceful. The cabin is just as described in the listing; very clean and supplied with all necessary kitchen, bedding & bathroom items to make our stay comfortable. The host even provided some fruit, muffins, coffee & several brochures of area attractions. We would definitely stay at this cabin again.
