Didn't feel clean, wallpaper loose, room just seemed in bad shape overall. Breakfast selection was poor. Although the price was most reasonable, it just wasn't worth it. Originally had another reservation to stay there, which I cancelled.

I stay at Choice Hotels about 25 nights a year in all of their brands. This one is a better price than their other properties in the area, but below the quality and standards you would expect at a Quality Inn. It is a very dated property with carpets and furniture to match. There is a problem with smoke smell throughout the property. They try to spray each room with a cover up when they clean, but that simply worsens the problem.

If you want below grade for a low price it is okay for a night. Many long haul drivers stay here for the low rates they are able to negotiate and the big rig parking availability.

On the west side of the property is a night club. At night you can hear and sometimes feel the base from their sound system. On the east side of the property your room will face the freeway on ramp.

Room 201 is the larger upgraded room. It is right next to the stairs. You will hear foot steps going up and down the stairs in this room.

I agree with Dan Z's review. Due diligence pays off. This is not a 5-star hotel, so don't expect one. Convenient to I-25. Room was clean, had some trouble with door card. Front desk tried their best, ice machine on 1st floor, no elevator. There is a nightclub across the street behind the hotel (NOT a casino) that could be heard on Friday night (bass-just pretended we were in the Caribbean). Interestingly, could not hear it on Saturday or Sunday nights at all. Did not investigate, sorry. Bathroom (tub-shower/potty in typical private separate room) and sink/vanity combo clean, sheets/spread clean. We were assured our room was non-smoking and did not detect any smoke smells (very sensitive to this). No other weird or bad smells in the room. I have stayed in MUCH worse, so was actually pleasantly surprised (was very worried after reading the reviews). One light bulb was burned out in a lamp, no big deal..front desk gave us a replacement. Our room's lampshades and curtains needed replacing (linings ripped); however, had a microwave and small fridge which were clean and a nice amenity. There are a McDonald's and an Arby's within walking distance and a Wal-Mart about 7-10 minutes west to stock up on groceries. Just breezed through the breakfast due to our late-night events; however, it was fine with waffles, bagels, yogurt, cereal and fruit...great for free! All in all, an ok place to stay for the very low price. Yes, management- please fix the door locks ASAP. Never felt unsafe, but the keycard/lock situation was aggravating more than anything. The hotel is fine. Would stay again.

The previous reviews & rating worried me. Walking into room 116, I found a nice, clean & clean smelling room. It appears to maybe have been renovated fairly recently. Great comfortable stay, decent price of $55+ with cdl discount.

First off, if you stayed here with expectations that it would be anything more than a convenient place to sleep along Interstate 25, then you must have not done your research very well. This place was about what I had expected. Sleep quality was good, the place was conveniently located off the interstate, and I felt safe the whole while. The breakfast in the morning was a bit lacking and the coffee was a little burnt, but for the price that I paid during peak summer travel, it was a reasonable value. I'd stay here again and have the same expectations that basic service and amenities be provided.

Door lock requires to hold handle down then insert key in order to work, the room smelled bad but we got used to it shortly, the toilet seat was dirty, bath tub had a cigerette burn and had hair in it. Carpet very dirty and stained. Beds were comfortable andirons believe clean.

We booked this place because we like the Choice line of hotels and the price was right. There were too many things wrong to give it a good rating. When we checked in we were instructed how to make the card key work because they have so many problems with them. Ours worked at first (using their special instructions) and then had to have it re-programmed. Seems like something they should fix, since they know its a problem. The TV reception was bad. There were burned out light bulbs and the overhead bulb in the bathroom burned out while we were there. We had looked forward to a soak in the whirlpool spa and were informed on arrival that it was not working. The bed frame had a metal part sticking out on the side and it cut my leg. There was a giant hole in the upholstery of one of the chairs. The pillows were large and hard. I honestly expected much more from this place. There were too many little things that made this a disappointing stay.
