“Great except for one small thing”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

One always looks for a 'local' place to eat instead of the chains. Doug's was recommended to us as being such a place and, as far as the menu goes, it did not disappoint. Not your usual fair with a heavy South of the Border influence. A varied menu with the usual favorites scattered amongst unique creations using such items as chilies, chorizo and the like. Fresh produce and jams to boot. And, yeah, those grilled biscuits were pretty danged good.

The only issue we (and other diners there at the time) had was the temperature of the food. Either they need to do a better job getting all the food prepped at the same time or invest in a heat lamp to keep things warm. Some of our food was luke warm while another diner sent their breakfast back to be reheated. They weren't terribly busy, so volume was not the issue.

That's not enough to keep us from going back though!

“Doug's Day Diner is great!”

We really like the yummy food at Doug's in downtown Loveland, CO on Lincoln St. Their grilled biscuits are HUGE and taste great! I love their oatmeal with almonds and fruit!

“My favorite place”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Always the food and service is wonderful. My favorite breakfast place. Yummy. I Have yet to have lunch there but their lunch menu is looking great also. You can order smaller portions also. The gravy and biscuits are good. The bacon is always very meaty. Eggs cooked perfect. It is a very clean place also a d friendly and quick service. Have eaten the one in Fort Collins also as.e great food and service. So stop and pay them a visit. Be ready to be full.

“Overrated”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

Let's start with the hash browns: outside layer crusted and semi-charred, inside mushy and watery. Anything with cheese has too much. Bread and biscuits doughy. Obviously, you can't go wrong giving Americans too much to eat.

“Be hungry when you come”

Great breakfast with many unusual choices. Most entrees for breakfast are large. Good quality and service. This is a busy place and you may have to wait at peak times.
