Great service and above average food. I had the Cobb Salad (huge and tasty, with a southwestern flavor), Turkey Club (large portion with yummy Applewood Smoked bacon) and the Chicken Salad wrap (another large portion). A must-have is the home made potato chips, crispy & light.

The staff was outstanding! Always friendly and willing to go that extra mile for special requests! The food was of a very good quality! I did not dislike anything about it! The bar closed early one night and when we mentioned that our group liked to stay a bit later, they were very happy to stay open a little longer.

Some friends and I went to a symposium at Embassy Suites last weekend. We got tired of the food offered by the organization running the symposium, so we stopped in for lunch two days in a row at Rocky River. I had swordfish the first day and it was very well cooked and seasoned. The second day I had the Cuban sandwich. It was incredibly filling and tasted great. My friends enjoyed their food as well. The food also came out in a reasonable amount of time--we still had time to talk but we didn't wait forever. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

Had the bison burger (without pickles) with sweet potato fries. The food was cooked to order and delivered in a timely manner. The taste was excellent.

This year we opted to eat out for Thanksgiving. Seven of us met at the Rock River which was one of the few places open that advertised a large Thanksgiving buffet. The restaurant is located in the new Embassy Suites hotel. Reservations were made in late October which was a good thing since they had over 400 by the week of Thanksgiving with many driving in from Wyoming. The open space is lovely with our table set a ways from the bar with plenty of space to move about. Upon coming in we were handed a cranberry cocktail which was replenished throughout the meal. I began the meal with some cheese, jumbo shrimp and a beet salad. Lots more choices though. Went back for salmon, turkey, dressing and gravy. Prime rib was also offered.

Did scout out the dessert buffet with several of us taking a gluten free cheese cake and chocolate silk pie which we split among three of us. Went back for a small scoop of ice cream topped with brandy caramel sauce.

We all felt like we were somewhere else celebrating the day. Service was excellent and as a parting gift we all received a sweet bread to take home. Great way to share the day and walk away with no cleanup on our part!
