“is there supposed to be fish on this?”
Reviewed 10 June 2012

Our first clue should've been the two cars in the lot at 7:30pm on a Saturday night.... Our waitress though nice had NO clue about the menu from non alcoholic drinks to what came with what dishes... I got fish tacos and literally I saw NO fish? It was three tiny cubes of something that in no way resembled or tasted like fish and it was apparently covered in mint... no garnish, just a bare shell with a slice of avocado ( which was the highlight), red cabbage and the mysterious cubed chunks of mint??
It was wrong from A to Z... wait M was good, my margarita was palatable ...... I won't be surprised if this place is out of business by end of summer.

“Getting Their Act Together (Finally)”
Reviewed 4 May 2012

I had eaten here once or twice shortly after the reopening. Not so great. We tried again with some friends more recently and things seem to be on an upswing. In 3 visits over about a 4 week period (the kids liked eating there), we had pretty good food each time.

It's good to see that things are improving.

It's mostly homey fare. The queso and salsa are very good. You should consider asking them to back off the agave nectar for coin style margaritas - the default drink comes out too sweet for most peoples' tastes (ordered light on agave, they are good).

Worth a try, if you're after a simple Mexican plate, though it still isn't the best game in town (all food types considered).

“Great food and Margs!!!”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

An extensive food and margarita menu, hard to pick from all the great food and drink options. Happy hour everyday from 2-6 w/appetizer and $3 marg choices. Great patio and waitstaff was very nice, will be going back soon

This is hands-down the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Food is drown in grayish chili sauce and all in all it is totally tasteless. Nice looking restaurant so it is a shame it is so bad.

“Bad Food, Worse Service”
Reviewed 14 September 2011

This was one of my worst dining experiences ever. When we were seated in the restaurant, there were only two other parties present. There seemed to be adequate staff, but we waited more than ten minutes for a waitress to approach our table. She didn’t bring or even offer chips and salsa – we had to ask. The salsa was so watery that it did little more than wet the chips. Service continued to be terrible. It took the waitress at least ten more minutes to bring our drinks. Five minutes after ordering, the waitress wandered back because she had forgotten what we had ordered. When the food arrived it was a disaster. My meal came with soup and the waitress failed to bring a spoon! It took another five minutes to flag her down and get a spoon. The item I ordered – Rellenos Poblanos - was probably the poorest presentation of food I have ever seen. Two tiny peppers sat alone in the middle of an oversized dinner plate swimming in a massive amount of “green chile” the consistency of gruel. We fared no better getting our check or paying our bill. Again the waitress took excessive amounts of time to return to our table. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
