Flagstone Meadows Ranch Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #2 of 5 Mancos B&B and Inns

Flagstone Meadows is a hidden gem, nestled in the hills just a few minutes outside the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. The house is gorgeous, a veritable mansion with cathedral ceilings and a large fireplace; it was built by the owner and his wife twenty years and his been accumulating character ever since. Our room was comfortable, clean, and a good size. Chatting away the evenings in the great room with Harris as the fire roared was one of the genuine pleasures of our trip.

The owner, Harris, is a genial host with a wry sense of humor, a voluble font of local history and valuable information...and a genuinely excellent cook. (Breakfasts were virtual gourmet feasts.)

The setting is gorgeous, with a view of the hills and assorted local wildlife (e.g., deer) passing through the yard. It's really hard to imagine a better place to stay in that area.

We had a wonderful experience at Flagstone Meadows Ranch B&B this past weekend! Harris was a most congenial and hospitable host. We feel like we have made a new friend!
He provided an extraordinarily comfortable and relaxing "home base" for enjoying the many attractions and activities in the Four Corners area. He generously shared his knowledge about restaurants from Cortez to Durango as well as "places to see and things to do".
He prepared the most delicious breakfast meals; they were a pleasure for the eyes and the taste buds!
Flagstone Meadows Ranch B&B isn't to be missed if you're visiting the Four Corners!

Room Tip: We enjoyed one of the queen bedrooms which were on the first floor.

My husband and I were fortunate to stumble on this wonderful b&b thru Trip Advisor ratings as we were looking for accommodations near Mesa Verde. It is literally just down the road from the entrance to the park, and we awoke to stunning views of the mesa from our room. Harris provides gracious hospitality in a fabulous setting, lively conversation and a delicious customized breakfast. It was hard to tear ourselves away, but we do plan to come back!

I have been a guest at Flagstone Meadows B and B 3 times now. My sister and I were his guests in October of 2013. Even though Mesa Verde was closed, Harris directed us to other unique experiences in the area. His food is always meticulously prepared and his rooms are cozy and welcoming,
Harris likes to talk! Be prepared to share your daily adventures,
Thank you Harris for all you do.

We went to Flagstone over Christmas Break to see Mesa Verde in the winter. The location of this B&B is stunning and remote. Each room has it's own bathroom and shower yet it feels like the entire cabin is one cozy home. Harris is a great cook and conversationalist and he was very gracious and warm with my young girls. They felt like they were his grandkids by the end of our trip. Now, at first I was a bit cautious of him because I felt he might be too intrusive for a quiet family of introverts, but his knowledge of the area and his understanding of the various Native American cultures in the surrounding regions is fascinating. You're not just booking a place to stay, you are booking an American experience.

Room Tip: A wonderful B&B that is family friendly

Stayed at Flagstone for two nights over the Thanksgiving break while visiting Mesa Verde and the Durango train. Thought about staying at a local Holiday Inn, but I am so thankful we stayed at Flagstone instead with our gracious host-Harris. Harris is a first-class host who aims to please, right down to the breakfast. I being the only one gluten-free in our party was greeted each morning with a scrumptious breakfast just as satisfying as my other family members, who are not GF. Harris will make sure you don't go hungry. The meal will be cooked to order and on the table when you request it. Harris is a wealth of information and always steered us in the right direction for site-seeing and dinner reservations. Our family made good use of the pool table and Harris took a picture of us in front of his gorgeous stone fireplace, that we used for our family Christmas card this year. Every window afforded us breathtaking views of wildlife in meadows and Mesa Verde. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer at Flagstone. My son's, 14 and 11 years old, thought that our stay with Harris was the best place we stayed at through our week-long trip to the Southwest. We hope to return for another adventure to Southwest CO., and you can be sure we will be staying at Flagstone.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any room you choose.

we stayed here for 2 night and were thrilled with the knowledge and information from our host Harris. He was a wealth of information for our out trip to Durando, and Mesa verde. He is an excellant host and wonderful cook (breakfast included) It was very near to Mesa Verde and Harris told us what to see and how long things usually took and also where to eat lunch and dinner. The rooms were spotless and beautiful. Harris gave up directions by phone when we were close to his lodge so we would arrive safely.

Room Tip: Take Harris offer for directions when you get close, it is easy to get confused the 1st time
