“Best Fur Person Hotel I've Ever Stayed In!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

I've always been a snob and stayed in upper chain type Hotels. My family was all camping for the weekend and I am not a camper so began looking for a hotel to stay at.

This cute little motel had a welcome basket complete with treats and sheets and a letter to our fur persons (our two small chihuahuas) upon arriving in our room.

Although the motel is small it far exceeds large chain hotels that I have stayed in the past and we and our pets felt like we were important to their business!

Another plus is the restaurant located adjacent to the hotel serving superb food!

We stayed here in April, after a visit to Mesa Verde. The motel staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were exceptionally clean and pleasant. It's in close walking distance to several restaurants, a coffee roaster downtown, and a liquor store with good Colorado beers! It was a nice change from the usual bland chain motels we end up staying on our budget. We would definitely recommend it for anyone who is looking for a worry-free place to stop on their road trip!

Friendly owners who really care! Immaculate. Great mattress. Refrigerator, microwave (with paper towels, so thoughtful), coffee pot, and hair dryer provided. Liquid soap in shower, like many people use, but bar soaps are thoughtfully provided in the main office if you prefer those. Nightlight was thoughtful, for when you wake up and wonder which direction the bathroom is on this night of travel. Even room spray was in the bathroom, which is also thoughtful, and not provided even in elegant hotels. The price is so reasonable, and the place so thoughtfully prepared, that we declared it Mesa Verde's hidden treasure.

Our family decided to take a 3-day weekend and visit Mesa Verde. Mancos was the perfect spot to stay as it was only 8 miles from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park off of Highway 160. The motel room was simple but VERY clean....such a wonderful feeling and makes a person feel more relaxed. It was inexpensive also, especially compared to hotels in Cortez. We stayed in the family room. The beds were so comfortable, which is always the greatest perk, especially when traveling. The staff was very cordial also. We will definitely stay there again if in the area. There is also a great bakery just down the street from the motel. We had a really fun weekend!

There don't seem to be a lot of lodging options in Mancos. We took a shot with the Mesa Verde Motel, and we were glad that we did. The clerk was very sweet and the room was very clean. This is a small place and to be honest we were not expecting much. but the checking in process was quick and the room clean and quiet. This is a great place to stay if you are going into Mesa Verde, it is only about 45 minutes to Far View Lodge in Mesa Verde.

We stayed one night here passing through on the way to California. I had no expectations. I found it to be a quiet clean friendly place to stay. It was inexpensive and convenient. What more could you ask of a Motel? If you find yurself in this area needing a good nights sleep for a cheap price do not hesitate to stay here.

We loved the Mesa Verde Motel! What a treat to discover this place. A modest, clean family-run old-time motel that is super welcoming to dogs. A sweet welcome basket for your doggie with treats and a towel, sheets, and more, plus a fenced-in, grassy area for your pooch (along with a hot tub for his/her humans). So nice at the end of a day on the road! Good restaurant next door and don't miss the Absolute Bakery and Cafe down the street.
