We had a wonderful time and it was a great deal. We had breakfast in the lovely dining room. On our last night we had dinner and it was beautiful. The bed was turned down at night and a chocolate placed on the pillows a lovely touch. The hotel had been flooded not long before and there were no signs of water damage, amazing. We would love to stay there again if we ever return to Manitou Springs.

Room Tip: We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor. Heated toilet seat. Lots of sockets for charging appliances.

Everything was just right. I am quite fussy about beds, but these were wonderful - even the pillows. Good breakfast choice, with healthy options available. Used the valet parking, which is really a must here. Would certainly stay here again.

This hotel is conveniently located in Manitou Springs. It is an easy walk to the tourist district with shops and restaurants. The staff were very welcoming and the rate already included the daily gratuities. The included buffet breakfast was fresh and nicely prepared.
Valet parking is required and you will be glad you don't have to worry about the parking. They are very quick about bringing your car around for day trips. I would go back here again.

We booked the Katharine Lee Bates Suite at Cliff House and were very pleased with the cleanliness, design, furnishings and layout of the room! The hotel is just charming, with many sitting rooms to enjoy. We enjoyed the Red Bar and the very personable Crystal who kept us entertained and shared her expertise in mixology! Morning breakfast was lovely in the bright dining room (except for the ever overbaked frittata).

Best of all, having no knowledge of the area, we were over the moon with the local shops and quaint bistros and had fun trying to discover the 11 springs which made Manitou Springs famous.

Stayed three nights in October in this charming hotel. Recently restored and in excellent condition, it's in a very good location one or two minutes walk from the main street. Staff were always friendly and efficient. The charges for parking and service are sensible, and the overall cost of our stay represented good value for money. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent, as was the (included) breakfast. We had a room (207) with two beds and they we incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended.

Centrally located, great breakfast, wonderful views and to top it all off we were upgraded to the PT Barnum suite because we were on our honeymoon. The suite had a jacuzzi bath, which we enjoyed immensely, plus high ceilings and plenty of space. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our 2-night stay.

Previous reviews worried me about the extra charges but the hotel was fully transparent about them and in my view they were worth it.

The Cliff House was the perfect location for our trip to Manitou Springs [we drank from 7 of the springs - fun] and then went to Pikes Peak. All of the folks working at the Cliff House were welcoming and helpful with suggests for places to go and lunch restaurants, especially Liz. The beds were comfortable. The dinner was gourmet and formal with white table clothes and fresh flowers but the complimentary breakfast was FANTASTIC!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
