These rustic cabins are small but cozy. The room was very clean, and I enjoyed the Indian/kokopelli motif. The staff was very gracious to us. We were able to stay within our budget of $50-70 due to seasonal discounts. There was no hairdryer or coffee pot, but they did have a fridge and microwave. They didn't charge us extra for our dog. There were little benches on the property for enjoying the outdoors. It was very convenient and we even had a fireplace! I love this spot and would've stayed longer in a heartbeat.

We were at the Lodge on Feb 7-9 , the Lodge was exactly as expected, we had cabin #27 . The staff went above and beyond in service. We had a very late check in and they waited up for us. The only minor point, no shampoo, but not an issue since we had brought some. The fireplace was great . We will be back when it's warmer and perhaps see some wildlife . There are other choices for lodging, perhaps some "nicer" but the level of customer care and service was outstanding!.They truly make you feel like family . We will return in April !

Room Tip: If available, they will offer options as to what cabin you may like

We stayed at The El Colorado Lodge this past weekend and enjoyed it as usual. my mother from North Dakota and my family stayed in cabin 25 and could not have been more pleased. We had requested extra blankets and pillows and all was waiting for us already in the cabin. It was a extremely cold outside but stayed toasty warm and cozy. Having a fireplace in the cabin set the mood. The kitchen is fully stocked with pans, dishes and baking sheets which we took full advantage of..The El Colorado is very close to the Garden of the Gods and quaint shops so we kept busy but could not wait to get back to our cabin to relax.. The owners and staff go all out to make their guest feel at home. We are already looking forward to next years stay..

El Colorado Lodge in Manitou Springs, Colorado has small southwestern-themed cabins. We liked having the privacy--no noise, no footsteps in the hall, etc.--of being in a cabin and being able to pull up right next to our door. Our cabin had a bit of an odd layout, entering into the largest bedroom, then through a very small hallway kitchenette, and into another room with a bed and a futon. Very cramped with the futon pulled out and leaves almost no space to set your luggage. Kitchenette was disappointing as it was so small, yet thankful we had a refrigerator, microwave and a small stove. The outdoor pool was very dirty and the hot tub never worked the whole time we were there. The Lodge is conveniently located near so many attractions, restaurants, and historic Manitou Springs. If you just want to stay in a cabin with privacy and not planning to spend much time at the hotel, this place will work. If you are planning to spend much time at the cabin or have children who want to swim, I'd stay elsewhere.

Quaint and charming cabins. Very comfortable for two nights before a two day hike up to Pikes Peak. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, looking after our baggage while we were on the hike.
