“Great location - lots of history”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

I wonder why every really old restaurant I go into, when the building is over a 100 years old, was once a brothel. Just a thought. This place is beautiful, great architecture, good place for a wedding reception.

“fine dining experience”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

Very cool venue, excellent food.
But WAY more costly than we expected. Can food really be THAT much better to cost THAT much more? Not so sure on that one.

“Fun night out, good food, but needs a bit more polish for the price.”
Reviewed 22 February 2012

We went to the Briarhurst Manor on a Friday night for a night out with my wife. The location of the resturaunt is great, right by the creek in Manitou. The building itself was very pretty, but the room we were seated in was un-impressive. It was actually ackward as my wife and I were seated- it was too quiet and intimate with the other guests. With no light music or interesting things to look at / talk about in the room made it feel like we needed to whisper. The service was not bad, but not good either. About the level of Olive Garden. The food was the one saving grace- it was fantastic. I highly reccomend the baked brie- it was the best ive ever had. Overall because of the food and location I say it was pretty good, but as a warning, our bill was over $130 for the two of us. If you want an ultra-quiet dining expeirience- this will suit your needs.
