Description: Award-winning romantic fine dining experience in the heart of historic downtown Manitou Springs. Voted "Best Wait Staff" (Gold) and "Best Fine Dining" (Bronze) and "Best Place for a Celebration," The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant is locally owned by the same hosts for 22 years and is considered one of the charter members of Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce. The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant offers a rare, intimate dining experience where guests are invited to relax, linger, savor, and enjoy unrushed time together. Our signature 4-Course Fondue Dinner includes salad, cheese fondue, entree platter, and chocolate fondue. Unlike fondue in hot oil or broth, our entree platters feature table-top raclette grilling of delicious cuts of meat, seafood, sausages, and vegetables along with locally baked bread and fresh vegetables. We offer an extensive wine and beer menu including wine flight experiences in the dining room and happy hour in Mona's Cellar downstairs. The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant is listed among the most romantic restaurants in the Pikes Peak Region's and has also made the list of America's most romantic restaurants.

Our server was excellent. But, details matter and they adversely affected our experience. One bite each of: chicken, mushroom, brat worst, filet, flat iron steak, salmon & shrimp. Rather than cooking in a broth or oil, a large plug in fry plate is provided. The plate is plugged in at the table and the cord was under the table between our feet. Kept getting my foot caught. Cuts of beef were over salted & tough. Meats were poorly seasoned. I needed a steak knife but one was not provided. The table was too small to juggle all of the little plates. Little touches-paper napkins rather than linen in the chip/bread baskets, multi colored w/ red tortilla chips, stale French bread, mediocre salad course. The cheese was the high point of the evening-it was great. Dessert was ok. I will go elsewhere the next time I want fondue.

Food was great. Had a groupon which helped with the cost. A little pricey otherwise. But it was fun!

The dining experience at Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant was superb and the fondue was to die for. This was our first fondue experience and we will definitely be back!

Have you been to the Melting Pot? It is a similar idea, but not as well executed. Two courses of fondue and one course on an electric skillet at the table. The plugged in skillet definitely doesn't have the same charm as cooking in a boiling pot of broth or on a heated stone like at Trappers. Had a nice atmosphere, but the food itself left a lot to be desired, especially at that price.

I booked 3 weeks before Valentines Day through their on line reservation system with a confirmation...notified via email 1 week before the reservation that they were booked solid. When questioned about my confirmed reservation for a "romantic dinner for 2" the only response was a coupon which expired the end of February. When questioned about who was responsible for the non reservation reservation, the Mona Lisa or the reservation service I was not given an answer. Ultimate coup was receiving an email reminder hours before the reservation time that confirmed my reservation for 10:15pm on February 14, 2014. I was able to find reservations elsewhere at The Cliff House in Manitou Springs on late notice with excellent service and food.
We only wish that we would have "showed" for our confirmed reservation @ the Mona Lisa @ 10:15 to get a personal explanation but we did not want to cause a scene or interrupt another couple's romantic evening!
