This B&B is a bit off the beaten track but so worth taking the effort to get to. Kathy and Denny were wonderful hosts and made us feel completely at home. They were also very helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do in the area (hiking trails, things to see, etc). Our room was lovely with wood panelling and a small balcony area. There was also a selection of books relating to the local area which helped with our understanding of what we would visit while staying here - a nice touch. Breakfasts (as seems to be the case in all the B&Bs we've stayed at in the US) were excellent - tasty and filling.
The B&B is about 10 miles drive from Buena Vista which is where the nearest restaurants and shops are. However, this is a small price to pay for such a wonderful location next to beautiful Chalk Creek and sandwiched between the 14000 foot peaks of Mounts Antero & Princeton. I probably shouldn't give this B&B 5 stars because it is fairly "no frills" and some people might miss some creature comforts, but there is something about the location and the welcome which make you feel at one with nature and yearn to return. Leave the 21st Century at the highway and enjoy this B&B for what it is.
