Pretty canyon and area, but the Agnes Vaille Falls trail continues to be closed in late May 2014 because of the rock slide six months or longer earlier. Parking lot is chained off so that people don't pull in and start up the trail, despite the closure signs. From the road you can catch a glimpse of the Falls, which look stunning and like there is lots of water flowing this year. But sadly cannot hike the trail. Campground across the street also looks inviting.
There is an outstanding wildlife preserve at the Love Meadow not far on the road, wherein we saw bighorn sheep, deer and prairie dogs--and became our alternative stop for the afternoon.
