Description: Established in 2001. We are a small family of chocolatiers and coffee roasters living in a small town nestled in the San Juan Mountains in the southwest corner of Colorado. We use only the finest Belgian chocolate and make everything by hand. Our shop is open everyday except Christmas. Stop by if you are in the neighborhood. We'd love to hear stories about how our chocolate has been a part of your lives. It brings us together in our love for chocolate, fine ingredients and sharing them with our family and friends.

“Yumm”

I had a mocha milkshake and my husband had the Caramel Chai latte, both we're very good. Picked up some treats to take home to the kids, drink prices are reasonable, the chocolate prices are a bit high ( $14 for 7 pieces) Overall a nice place.

“Can't Miss Mouse's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014

We visit at least once a day every time we come to Ouray. Great chocolate, wonderful sundaes, cookies, and drinks, excellent coffee, and every now and then we hit a good number on the die you can toss if you bring your own cup. Last week it got us a free cookie. Open late so you can have dessert here instead of at your restaurant.

“Delicious Chocolate”

Got a bag of chocolates, a couple of cookies and hot chocolate made with almond milk and soy milk. Very good. My favorite was the almond bark dark chocolate. Their chocolate is very smooth.

“Nice Product, Remarkably Poor Service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

We visited Mouse's on 15 February 2014 looking to enjoy dessert after a dinner next door. Our party of four ducked in from the snow and purchased coffee, cookies, and a couple of sundaes at 8:50 pm (according to our receipt which I still have) for a total of $30 plus a $6 tip to the employee and manager on duty.

We had been seated for about 5-minutes when one of the employees came to our table and told us we'd have to leave as they were closing at 9:00 pm. When I pointed out that we had just received our tray of food a few minutes earlier, he said, "well, our hours are on the door" and walked away. Why weren't we told that when we ordered our food and told him that we intended to eat at a table?

I left our table and approached the women, who I assumed to be the manager (the other employee was busy sweeping around our feet making it clear he wanted us out), and explained that we had barely made a dent in the food they just served us. Her reply was remarkable, "You can always take it with you and eat outside". Really? It was blowing snow and 20-degrees outside and we had our 10-year old who wanted nothing more than to finish his ice cream!

It was clear we had to leave and with most of our food uneaten we left at 9:00 with the employee locking the door behind us. I felt like we were scammed out of $36 by a restaurant staff eager to increase their night's revenues but unconcerned for the welfare of their customers.

The food may good at Mouse’s but the management of this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired.

“A little pricey but well worth it.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

At $32 a pound it was quite pricey, but the treats are amazing and all hand made on site. There is no minimum to purchase, just pick out the ones you like and weigh out. There coffee is really wonderful as well. Nice surprise was a "scrap cookie" if nothing else you must have one of these. This is a must stop in Ouray
