What a fantastic experience to interact with (mostly) nature in this way, challenging oneself while surrounded in absolute beauty. WARNING--the climbing gets addictive!

Easy ice climbing with hero ice. It was warm and the ice was plastic. Very little dinner plating, and I found the climbing wet and easy, even though it was my first ice climbing trip of the year. The screws went in and out easily.
We mostly top roped as you walk along the top and lower into the canyon. There are bolted chains along the top and you should bring your top roping slings. There were a lot of newbies and this is not your average outdoor adventure experience. Think ice climbing gym...

Was here for the Annual Ice Climbing Festival never have done it before and will do it again. To putting on all the gear and climb straight up a wall words cannot not describe the feeling. To the snow on the mountains and the trees and such wonderful people. Nice quiet town with a lot to offer and the million dollar highway that hopefully you can drive on if there is not a blizzard. Take the trip have some fun and be sure to check out the Hot Springs.. Enjoy

EASY access to a HUGE VARIETY of ice climbing. Plenty of choices from top-roping to lead to mixed climbing. Great resource!

A short walk from the road are some fantastic views of the Ice Park. I am not interested in climbing it but enjoyed looking at the beautiful icicles and ice formations. Gorgeous to look at.
