I booked this motel for 4 nights for our recent vacation in SW Co., based on previous reviews on TripAdvisor, and these people don't lie. I wish I could pick this place up and move it to every other city we want to visit. The funky cowboy decor was a fun change from the usual sterility of chain motels, the whole place was super clean, the staff always friendly, breakfast had several choices, great water pressure in the shower, and the king-sized beds were comfy. The best part was being able to leave our window open at night to listen to the river flowing next to our balcony. It's true that the wi-fi is slow and the TV channels are somewhat limited, but really, when you visit a scenic area like this, is that why you're here? I have never seen a place that was so charming and unique for the kind of prices they charge. If you are anywhere near this area, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: If mobility is not an issue, the second floor rooms offer more privacy on the balcony, and seems a l...

Check-in was very pleasant and the person at the desk was very helpful in describing our restaurant choices in town. Although we were only staying the night, we were directed to a very large room overlooking the stream behind the inn. Breakfast was basic, as expected, but fine for what we wanted, with eggs, cereal, breads, muffins and coffee or tea and juice. We return to this fine inn in a minute! The owner who greeted us in the morning was very friendly. This is a great place to stay in Ouray.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony towards the stream.

On a three week motorcycle trip and this is the best hotel we have been in. The clerk showed us the room w/o us asking. Our balcony was 50 ft from the river. Room was great and super clean. Great place.

We love this place! Each year we come back we find the same people working here and they remember you! Two king sized beds in each room. Balcony with chairs for every room. This place is the top spot to stay in Ouray in our opinion.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are our preference, but there is no elevator and you have to keep that in mind if...

My wife and I recently stayed 3 nights here. The front desk staff was great and very personable giving that feeling that you are part of their family. Very nice attention. Grounds are very nice with neat western wagons, stagecoach, saddles on railings etc. This gives a nice western feeling to the place. Each morning enjoy a nice breakfast that is included with the room price. It is served in the dining room of the main building. Housekeeping comes each day and did a nice job. The resort is located just outside the main town making it a bit quieter location with natural views. You can stroll the river on the path or just sit out on the private patio with a cup of coffee and relax. There are 2 king beds and very plush mattresses. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker are nice to have. Great value at Hot Springs Inn.

Room Tip: 2nd floor will make it a bit quieter since no one will be above you. All rooms have a nice view out...

This is the very first place I ever stayed in the USA. Since then I've travelled over 27,000 miles by car and the Hot Springs Inn is by far the the most lovely place. The rooms are spacious with a fireplace, sofa and balcony at the back, looking out over the river. The staff are just lovely and the breakfast room is homely and a nice place to sit and chat with other guests. The setting is idyllic, the staff fabulous and the rooms are full of Colorado character. Looking forward to returning as soon as I can.
