We stayed at Hartland ranch during our visit to Pagosa Springs.
We can thoroughly recommend a stay.
The cabins are very well maintained and very comfortable.
We will be back, probably next year to see more of the beautiful country :-)

If I win the Lottery, I would want to buy this ranch! The views of the mountains were magnificent, the meadow in front of our cabin was peaceful and full of deer, three beautiful horses grazing in the rich, green pasture surrounded by white vinyl fencing, the surroundings were so quiet you could hear a variety of birds singing their individual songs, the grounds were pristine and the cabins were beautiful and IMMACULATE - not an adjective I use lightly!

The cabins had all the modern conveniences from dishwasher, front loading washer and dryer, bubble tub in Master, each bedroom has its own fireplace, vaulted ceilings, covered front and back decks, latest in appliances and all nicely appointed with fresh and tasteful decor including slate floors in the kitchen and hardwood laminates throughout the remainder of the home. We were assured that the staff "sping cleans" between each guest meaning they wash all blankets, comforters, etc. and I believe it. I couldn't find anything to complain about even if I wanted to!

The owners, Ken and Angie, made us feel like family while providing for us as if we were special, important guests. They provided us with information from local businesses, maps of the area, local attractions and even a gift certificate to use to shop at The Choke Cherry Tree gift/food shop. Angie came down one evening and we stood out on the front porch and just visited about everything from families, vacations to getting older! She was nice enough to bring me some information and samples of herbal medicine when she knew I was suffering with a bulging disk and sciatic nervce pain. I feel like we made a new friend in Angie, for sure! So warm, down to earth and hospitable.

My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. My dream would be to live in one of the cabins, get a job and retire in Pagosa Springs! Every business owner in town was extremely friendly and helpful and they all had great things to say about The Cabins at the Hartland Ranch. I truly hope I'm lucky enough to go back next year with my extended family. Go and enjoy!

This is a beautiful cabin in an idyllic setting. And, it is immaculate. Last year when we stayed, we did something every day, fished, hiked, etc. This year....we did not want to leave the cabin. It is so comfortable. We had a massage in the cabin! Heaven! It is the total relaxation vacation. You won't want to leave and will plan your next visit before you do leave. And don't forget to do some star gazing at night.

We did our annual company retreat here and we used the two 3BR cabins. The owners have spared no expense, and our folks who stay at lots of Hyatts and Hiltons thought this place was nicer than those. The ranch is less than a mile from all the restaurants in Pagosa Springs (and the hot springs) yet we felt like we were deep in the mountains. Quiet setting, beautiful views. We saw foxes, deer, and our marketing director got chased by a horse, which was really funny. In our opinion, the prettiest cabins are "The Peaks" (2 BR) and "Trails End" (3BR) because they overlook a canyon with a creek -- totally beautiful. If you are looking for a mountain getaway but have someone in your group who needs satellite TV, wireless Internet, high end appliances, and quick access to a coffee shop, this is the perfect place for you. Everyone will be very happy and comfortable. Every bedroom had its own bathroom, great water pressure, lots of hot water. The ONLY thing missing was a garbage disposal in the kitchen! Oh, and we loved the campfire area -- a real highlight of our time there.

This would be a fantastic place for a family reunion or for families spending a vacation together. I will definitely be back, probably with my kids and perhaps my parents.

The only negative is that the owner will repeatedly tell you about their non-smoking, no pets policy. Again, and again, and again. We got it. No pets. No smoking. About the 6th time they emphasized no pets and no smoking, we started to get a little annoyed.

My close friend from Texas and myself (from Washington state) decided on Pagosa Springs as a good half-way point for our annual girl's trip. The location and "cabins' could not have been a better choice! We did GOOD! These "cabins" are as nice as most homes you'll ever stay in. They were absolutely beautiful with all the amenities. Slate floors, beautiful bedding and furniture, tongue and groove flooring and walls...just couldn't have been nicer. Probably less than 1 mile to town, but you feel as though you're out in the middle of Rocky Mountain paradise.

The owners, Angie and Ken, were terrific hosts and make sure you have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. There's no question that we would pick this destination again...actually, we can't wait to go back!

We decided to have a ski weekend in Wolf Creek. We were looking for upscale accommodations near the town of Pagosa Springs.
The cabins were delightful, comfortable and clean. We felt like we were staying at a Disney Themed Property. The ranch has an isolated feeling but can't be more than a mile from the springs.
We're looking forward to a spring or summer trip back to Hartland Ranch very soon.

We stayed in a two bedroom cabin in early March. The term "cabin" doesn't do these units justice. They are new and beatifully furnished, with fireplaces in the living and bedroom, jacuzzi bathtubs, slate floors on the kitchen and bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, wonderfully furnished living room, satellite tv with vcr and dvd, gas grill on the front porch,... the Gayharts are very nice and accommodating, and their golden retrievers will give you a big welcome.

As nice as the interiors are, it is the views and location that are really great. There are front and back porches, and the mountain views are magnificent. There were horeses and llamas in the fields, and elk were feeding outside of our cabin one morning.

The cabins are located less than a mile from the main street, and Pagosa Springs is a hoot. we were there for skiing at Wolf Creek (GREAT skiing with no crowds), but this is a four season resort area. As the name says, there are hot springs open to the public, and there is skiing, snowmobiling, hiking and snowshoing, fishing,...

The people in town are very nice, and make sure that you go to Kip's for a beer and the shrimp tacos.

We look forward to going back in the summer/fall for some fishing and to enjoy the country, and we will definitely stay at the Cabins at Hartland Ranch again.
