“Cute but...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

I really want to give this place 5 stars, but it just misses the mark. It's cute, has an old-time atmosphere, but it's always SO hot and stuffy when we've been there (not the refreshing cool you'd expect in an ice cream shop) and the orders take forever to come out. I'd like to chalk it up to small town, slow pace, but it's not just that. The ice cream is okay and everyone in our group was happy with the product, just not the heat and the long wait.

“Always a good treat.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2013

We go here often for a malt, shake, or sometimes a banana split. (Make sure at least two people are hungry and share the banana split). Always good. The waffle fries are good too.

“A good little 'family run' burger joint 'Dog Friendly' with outdoor patio near river.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2013 via mobile

Out door patio overlooking the San Juan river. Great bannana splits and ice cream sundaes. Hometown burgers and waffle fries were great. A family run place. Not the place for a clean freak was a little crusty around the edges if you know what I mean. But overall typical for a decent burger joint.

“Nothing fancy, just an old fashion malt shop”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2013

Always a wait. Good Hamburgers the old fashion way with shredded lettuce, tomato and onion on a crispy bun. Get the Half pound option. The quarter pounder seemed light. Waffle fries are very good. SPF t ice cream and chocolate / Vanilla twist are good. Try the coffee ice cream. Dogs are good and so are the root beer floats. Outside area is nice looking at the river, but bring a fly sweater.
