“Spectacular views”
Reviewed 14 August 2012 via mobile

The only disappointment forums in an otherwise very pleasant resort with a spectacular view was that there was no outdoor swimming pool. Otherwise lots to do in resort and in the town, with the plus of several really good restaurants.

So much wildlife, cool pines & lakes, mountains. The most restful and beautiful weather, and nice place to stay that feels like home. After a bout of stress and heat in AZ, we head for the hills to relax and see the sunset over the mountains. We have also seen so much wildlife like geese, fox, deer, and YES even BEARS. The Bears have come to our trash can every night. It really has been a sight, and we can see them from our balcony at night. We are very safe, and can watch them from a safe place. Lots of activities and recreation. My husband has fished almost everyday. He haven't left this resort much because there is so much to do here. We went to Durango, in their downtown area to check it out and shop. Such a neat area and sights that we need to stay 2 weeks. We will be back in the winter to ski. We have stayed here before and skied in the winter. Skiing is great in Wolf creek area. We love the fact that we can cook our own food. Much better than eating out.
Check-In was great. At first they had another room other than what I had requested, but I told them what I had requested and they made it happen during a busy season which I appreciated because I didn't want to stress.
Stress free vacation, everything I requested was met, and the property is well kept and appointed for Colorado standards.
I live in a resort town in AZ. I am used to 4 and 5 star accommodations. This would be a 3 star in Scottsdale, however for Colorado in this area it is a 5 star. SO relax and let down your standards for the area. I kept in mind that this is the best for the area. Love it and I'll be back in the winter as usual.

Room Tip: By the lake is the best location.

Wyndam Resort in Pagosa was awesome. There is so much to do at this resort, the activities center could be a little more friendlier, but with everything to do it did not slow us down a bit. We played miniature golf, badminton, tennis. At the resort, you can also fish my children had so much fun fishing in the lakes. The Unit we stayed in was a bit small but very clean and the housekeeping staff was very accommodating. Pagosa springs was so beautiful, the hotel offers discounted tickets so be sure to check with them before you go. We went at night since it is so hot during the day and had a wonderful time. The kids really enjoyed this activity also.
We will defiantly be back again.

What a nice room. We were at Village Pointe on the lake, what a view for sunset, sunrise, balloons, and rain storms. The best part of the whole stay. I even stayed IN one day to read and relax JUST because of the view. So many activities at the resort you may chose to not leave during your stay.
My first time to visit but will not be my last....people on staff were helpful and friendly. What more can u ask...train ride, balloon ride, water color, tennis, golf, hiking, swimming, and massages!!! What a week.

My family stayed at one of the Mountain Meadows units in July 2012. The area is beautiful, and much cooler than the low country. The check-in experience was disappointing. The unit was not only not ready on time, but we had to wait an hour to get in. Some the furnishings in the unit were nice, others just acceptable. There were several areas that had not been cleaned properly. However, the management tried to do everything to make things "right", and extra bedding and another item requested were brought promptly. The staff overall were friendly and tried to be helpful.

We stayed at Elk Run during late July. The facility was old and very dated. The bathrooms were in need of updating. The toilet in the small bathroom had trouble flushing. The water pressure was terrible! There was a large jet tub in the downstairs master that would have been nice if there was enough hot water in the tank to fill fill it over the jets.

The night of our arrival I was going to bed and found a tissue and hairy sheets! I called the service department and they brought over new sheets but it was a real turnoff! My kids stayed in the twin beds that they said felt like rocks.

The place was also full of cobwebs inside all the windows and over the deck. Chairs outside had a lot of grime on them.

The views were wonderful but the place as a whole was VERY disappointing. There was no outside pool and you couldn't even swim in the lakes. We would not go back to this resort!!!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a new unit!

We own a Wyndham timeshare. We have visited several Wyndham locations. We booked our trip months in advance and booked three-two bedroom suites. When we arrived two of the suites were in the same building but not close to each other. One of the suites was for handicapped and none of us are handicapped. There was no door on one of the Bathrooms! The third suite was two buildings down from ours. This was disappointing as we had asked that all three be together. When we arrive at our room, it was clear that if cleaned if was not cleaned very good. There were still marks on the bathroom floor where a wheel chair had rolled. There were cobwebs in the bathroom and in the living room. When we unmade the bed (I always check the bed when we arrive at a hotel) it looked like it had just been made up and the linens had not been changed. We called and reported this and they said they were sorry and did come and mop the floor and changed the bed but nothing else. Would I stay here again NO. This is the first location for Wyndham that we were not overly pleased with. Our view was very good and the property is very large and has a nice pool, tennis court, miniature golf and fishing so our family had things to do. If you do decide to stay here just make certain that you check everything.
