My husband and I stay at the High Country Lodge every time we go to Pagosa, which is two to three times a year. The staff are always helpful and nice, the grounds are well taken care of and clean. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

We would definitely stay here again. Stayed 2 nights in Cabin 403 I believe. It was one of the small private cabins. Hosts were very friendly. Went tubing and that was fun. Nice breakfast in the morning. Overall it was a great stay!

Room Tip: I'd recommend the individual cabins for the price they are well worth it! Nice fireplace, small...

Thank you for your nice review! Now that you had a great trip in the winter, you will have to come back in the summer and enjoy all the other things this area has to offer-like rafting, and floating on the river, fishing, hiking trails, trail riding, etc. This is truly a year round vacation spot, in one of the best areas of Colorado. I promise you, you won't know which season you like the best!

Thank you for lodging with us! We hope to see you again soon.

Winter ski trips are always the best in deep, fresh powder and Wolf Creek didn't disappoint. But the real pleasure was coming back our room at the High Country Lodge. We warmed up in one of their three spotless hot tubs with a huge sauna while watching the tube riders on the hill nearby. Breakfast was a sensory delight with a roaring fire in the massive stone fireplace with the incredible smells of first rate coffee and the cozy feeling of a mountain cabin. Huge fresh waffles, scrambled eggs, bagels, muffins, OJ and fruit was more than enough to fuel another day on the mountain. The owners and staff are so welcoming and work hard to make your stay just one of many to come. We've found our new "base camp" in Pagosa Springs and once the word gets out you better have a reservation!

Room Tip: We stayed in 205 and it was a very comfortable room. Not huge but everything you need. No noise at a...

Thank you for making us your "Base Camp" whenever you ski Wolf Creek! Sounds like you had a wonderful time while here. That's what it's all about! And right now, Wolf Creek is making up for lost time, with even more of that great powder expected today.
Your review really showed us that you "get" what we are all about. When we feel that kind of appreciation, it makes us work even harder to make each visit special. Thank you for staying with us and sharing your views of HCL with others. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Nice quiet place with very cute cabins. Wood burning stove and full kitchen. We would stay again. Loved the hot tubs outside. Wi-fi wasn't great and cell service was non-existent. We really didn't care about those things, but I know some do. Beds weren't too comfortable. Close to skiing and they offer discounted tickets. Close to Pagosa Springs and offered discounts to local hot springs spa as we'll. The managers were very nice.

We are so glad you enjoyed your cabin. Many guests feel they offer a true Colorado experience and return time and again to their favorite one. I am sorry you feel our beds weren't comfortable-I wish I had more information from you to address that. We put new mattresses in every unit less than a year ago, and so far have had good reports on them. Next time you stay, please let us know right away if there is anything amiss, and we will be happy to address it immediately to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
We look forward to seeing you again soon! Thank you for writing a review-we always appreciate hearing from our guests.

This a great getaway for anyone!! We stayed in one of the studio cabins, it was quaint, clean and romantic with the fireplace and log cabin setting!! We walked across to the outdoor hot tubs and sauna and enjoyed it snowing on us in the hot tub!! Is that the best for an anniversary!! They were so clean and the sauna was great!! The staff was incredible and so helpful with anything we needed! We enjoyed the free breakfast in the lodge sitting by the fireplace and visiting!! They had the neatest latte and coffee machine with all kinds of teas and coffees…a real extra!! If you have a chance …I highly recommend this as a place to stay!! They have all types of accommodations and you can have your pick of a lodge setting or a cabin!! Another plus for us was the tubing hill right beside the lodge…wow!! That was fun!! A great week for a 45th anniversary in the snow!! Thanks High Country Lodge!!

High Country Lodge is squared away. Clean rooms, good continental breakfast and great staff. We stayed during the early week for two nights while skiing at Wolf Creek; we arrived with reservations through Trip Advisor and it was better than as rated. If you need a place to stay in Pagosa Springs, look no farther than Bob & Frances place. Ask for Noah and he will treat you right.

Every time we passed this property heading to WC I've always said "we have to check this place out". We finally did and what a great visit! Our cabin was nicely appointed, clean and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed warming up by the wood burning stove in the cabin after a day on the slopes. The hot tubs were a short walk away and very relaxing as well. The breakfast items available were a perfect start for the day. Looking forward to another winter (very soon) AND summer return.
