This is a quaint natural food store
with an efficient sandwich counter.
However, the bread was dry and my son's gyro, though good did not have much meat on it. Not a good value.

Be sure to stop here to get a quick lunch or to grab some sandwiches for a picnic lunch. The vegan eden with the pumpkin pesto is delicious as is the roast beef. The service was friendly and fast.

Get my deli lunch there at least once a week. Great organic green smoothies for a healthy lunch or breakfast. Grocery items that are reasonably priced and very tasty too. All profits go to local charities.

If you are desperate for organic foods b/c you are trapped in podunk Pagosa and can't get out, Old Town Market will do. Since they have a captive population [especially in the winter when you can't go anywhere] their prices are as you would guess, HIGH. I went in there a couple of times hoping to buy something reasonable and just walked out. Since I am temporarily stuck here in Pagosa until I can get rid of my house and move, I have taken to ordering everything over the Internet. If you are thinking about moving here, one word of advice ~ DON'T!!!!! It is remote, small, dirty, and you will freeze your butt off in the winter piled under by tons of unrelenting snow! The only good thing about Pagosa [which means stinking waters] is the hot springs. You can't grow things here very well either b/c the altitude is too high and the growing season is too short. Then you are subject to overpriced organic health food stores like 'Old Town Market.'
