“Awesome Ski Attraction”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

We tried skiing for the first time and was very pleased with the ski school. Lou was especially awesome and very gentle and calm. I certainly needed that! Excellent facility and would definitely visit there again if ever in the area.

“Most and best snow in Southern Colorado”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

My son and I have been driving up to Wolfcreek, CO from Santa Fe, New Mexico ever since he was three years old. He is eleven now and we still come up for a few days or a week every year, when we want to experience REAL SKIING. They undoubtedly have the best and most snow all around. Actually you have to watch the weather report before going there, because the pass up the mountain coming from Pagosa Springs can be closed for the day if there is too much snow coming down all at once, which happened to us once. They have beginners, intermediate, and advanced terrains (no terrain park though to the chagrin of my now snowboarding son), and my personal favorite, one large area dedicated to tree skiing, which has almost no lift lines, and is for more advanced skiers only. You can get a quick great green chili burger and a drink at the little shack on the bottom of that lift if you get there at the right time. The ski school by the way is excellent. My son learned snowboarding in 2 days of group lessons with experienced instructors. The food in the main lodge is so, so. Toilets ughhh. Rental shop decent. Weather can be quite stormy. Lift tickets cheap compared to Santa Fe.
Overall well worth the three and a half hour drive for us to get some real skiing in every year!

“Awesome ski area”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

Best snow in Colorado, friendly staff, good terrain for both beginners and advanced skiers. Short vertical but no lift lines, and they don't groom half the mountain, so it's much more fun if you know what you're doing. Local owned, non-resorty, low key resort with reasonable ticket, food, and beer costs. Hard to find these days.
