“Not quality at all”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

What a disappointment this hotel was. On the upside, the front desk staff were courteous and efficient. And the location is great in terms of walking to the river, hot springs, and downtown.

Now the down side: This hotel is worn out and in desperate need of a makeover. Here's a list of a bunch of the things wrong with my room (but not an exhaustive list):

1. An open electrical outlet with wires sticking out
2. A light switch that didn't activate on overhead light
3. The bureau top on which the TV sits is missing an extensive amount of the surface
4. The hollowcore bathroom door was chipped up and had a hole in it
5. The "we're going green" sticker on the door was peeling off and someone had written "Bull" on it
6. Saggy bed
7. When I got into the room around 4pm, the room was stiflingly warm. I turned on the airconditioner and the room was barely cool enough by the time I went to sleep
8. Even the hotel pad of paper on the night stand was water stained and "wrinkled" from the water after it dried.
9. Let's just say the toilet wasn't clean to usually hotel standards.

So in summary, this hotel is WORN OUT and the management obviously doesn't care enough to fix some really simple things (like cover the electrical outlet, put a new sticker over the old one, replace the paper on the night stand, etc.). Things that take 15 minutes total would have resolves more than half of these things.

Do yourself a favor - for the same price, patronize a local mom and pop hotel that cares about its appearance, the cleanliness of its rooms, etc. I certainly won't be staying at the Quality Inn again in Pagosa Springs.

If you want to be right by the springs your hotel options are limited. We picked it because of its location to the thermal baths. We did get renovated rooms that had new carpeting /bedding. Perhaps it's best summed up with, "they do the best with what they've got". Definitely a "passing through Pagosa Springs hotel. Do not plan an extended stay here, you'll tire of it quickly.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the remodeled rooms

A little overpriced for what it is. Showed up at 5:30 and was told they did have rooms, but had to sit around and wait while they checked to see which rooms were clean. Room was small but fine for one night. Wouldn't stay more than one, and probably wouldn't stay again.

Grumpy check-in girl was just the beginning!! Dirty rooms, cold showers, mouldy bread at breakfast... Need I go on?

The dinner at night in the restaurant was really good and the ONLY good thing about the place!!

It's tired and dirty and needs a lot of $$ spent on it to make it close to ok!

The hotel itself was a little overpriced considering the size of the rooms and the amenities. The person at the front desk quoted me a price in the morning and then, in the afternoon upped the price based on the fact that there was an extra person staying in the room. This happened despite the fact that it was very clear there were 3 people when we inquired in the morning. The rooms were much smaller than the other hotels in the area and cost more due to "location" The staff was friendly for the most part but seemed very disorganized. The breakfast bar was somewhat sub par there was no hot food except for self made waffles. Overall the price change seemed like very bad customer service and I would probably not stay in this hotel again.

Our first vacation in 10 years. We wanted to keep our trip on the cheap but didn't want to live in a cave either. We were delighted to find this hotel almost to ourselves. Its under renovation and our room was recently done. New bed and carpet. The furniture was old but that did matter. Bathroom had a new bath and shower installed. The toilet was old and very low. Front desk folks were great..

Great location! w\Walking distance to downtown Pagosa Springs. Congratulations to the new owner, we cant wait to see the improvements on our next trip. The room was clean and did not smell like smoke. We were there for July 4th they lit the grill and made hot dogs with all the fixings it was a really nice surprise for a hotel chain.
