We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Wine Country Inn and highly recommend it to all travelers. We arrived too late for the wine reception, but the breakfast the next morning was freshly prepared and presentation was excellent. This is the kind of place for complete relaxation and enjoyment.

This hotel is located within a vineyard. It is a beautiful location where the guests can walk among the grapes or down a walking path beside the vineyard. The rooms were nicely furnished and the staff were well trained. Guests are given a free breakfast buffet and also a wine reception with one free glass a wine and crackers and cheese. The courtyard with swimming pool was gorgeous with lots of rocking chairs to relax in. Within a few miles there are a lot of wineries with tasting rooms and lots of produce markets with the peaches they grow in the area.

The only complaint we had was there was no restaurant on the premises, thus guests had to get into their cars and drive into town to eat. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star resort all the way.

We stayed at the Wine Country Inn because we hadn't had time to explore the local B&Bs and motels in Palisade, and the Inn had plenty of rooms available. The place is pretty fancy, with a pool, the usual free breakfast as so forth. The rooms are nice although they were doing work around the parking lot with noisy equipment in the morning. We thought the room prices were for this little agricultural town were highly inflated--close to $200 a night, and we found that the Hotel staff didn't know anything about the town--restaurant locations and hours, other local attractions--they had no information, so we were on our own. If the prices were reasonable I'd give it a better rating.

After a long drive from Las Vegas, we were looking forward to relaxing for a couple of days before continuing onto Denver. We were not disappointed by our stay here. The staff and facilities were great. The inn has complimentary wine tasting each afternoon and a hearty breakfast each morning. Our room was well sized, clean & quiet, had comfortable beds, good HVAC, LCD TV, free Wi-Fi, a microwave and refrigerator. The inn has laundry facilities, a business center with 2 PCs and printer, a nice size workout room, and a big pool with adjacent jacuzzi. The inn is set in the middle of a vineyard with a drive around parking lot. It is within walking distance to 3 wineries and many fruit stands. It is only a short drive to downtown Palisade where the restaurants are as well as to surrounding wineries and farms (Palisade peaches are wonderful!). Although the inn is located next to I70, we didn't hear any noise. The inn is owned by locals and they have built a lovely place to relax and enjoy the small town life of Colorado.

My daughter and I stayed at the Wine Country Inn and sampled the wines around the area. What a wonderful surprise this place was! We were greeted by the manager who was very attentive. The hotel appeared to be brand new with beautiful ,rich decor. The room was beautiful, it had an incredibly comfortable bed, beautiful granite bathroom and flat screen tv. The pool area was great also with nice tables and chairs. The night we were there , the inn hosted an evening with jazz. They also have wine tasting reception at night where you can sample a glass or red or white, after that its $5 per glass. The inn has rocking chairs underneath the covered porches that surround the hotel. We had such a nice time rocking in our chairs, listening to jazz and sipping our wine. For dinner we went to the Red Rose Cafe and had one of the best meals that I have ever had. The owners are a married couple, she is from Vietnam and he is from New York City. The menu is Vietnamese and Italian, sounds crazy but it was outstanding! Our favorite vineyard was Carlson Vineyards where we sampled cherry wine from glasses that were dunked in Enstroms chocolate! The inn also has a delicious breakfast buffet that is included with the price of your room. They had a sourdough breakfast bread that was stuffed with spinach and hame, absolutely delicious. We had a delightful weekend and loved our stay at the Wine Country Inn.
