Art is seen in the eye of the beholder. There are many types of eclectic artwork in this gallery, paintings, photography, jewellery. Take a few minutes to browse, you might find that wonderful piece you didn't know you were looking for.

A wonderful gallery full of various types of art that are nicely displayed. A real jewel of a gallery sitting in precious historic Palisade. The building it's in is another plus.

The bits on display were not quality, as many were more folk art than I like. Some of the artists are obviously working hard at their craft, so the stuff on display was worth a few minutes. The gallery keeps improving the quality of the bits available for sale. I have stopped in several times and have not found anything worth purchasing, but I keep hoping something good will turn up.

I cannot recommend this gallery highly enough. I go here at least monthly and often weekly. It is located in a part of Palisade that is fun to visit (near Palisade Cafe 11.0, Slice O Life Bakery, the park, the farmer's market and more).

The gallery is sort of a coop - every artist who shows their work here takes turns being the host here. So you have the chance to meet all of the artists and ask them questions. I am not artistic and have enjoyed getting an education here. I didn't have any idea what encaustic painting was, or what steps are used in creating batik, or that you could paint on a Starbuck's napkin with coffee!!

Every artist I have met is enthusiastic and friendly - there is no snootiness here! The facility is lovely - it is an old building and you will really be aware of that if you go downstairs. You can see the old stone work here. On the main floor, there is a large showroom, but if you head to the back, there is a series of small rooms for large paintings (often the works of Bud Markos). You can sit in an armchair and look at some of these large works and wish you had a room at home like this - full of art and peace.

Upstairs is a large studio where classes are held.

Often, events are held here - for example to vote for posters for Winefest, Peachfest, Lavender Fest and more.

Many art styles are celebrated here. All sorts of ceramics, oil paintings, acrylics, batik, watercolor, wood work, fabric art, jewelry... I know I am missing so many. And - many of the artists make prints of their art (or originals) for note and greeting cards. Why buy Hallmark when you can support an artist and surprise your friends with artwork!

We made a weekend of the Winefest in Palisade. On Main Street, have coffee and then visit the Blue Pig. Very very nice gallery featuring first class art in all mediums.
