We stayed for 2 nights as the first stop on an island hopping holiday. It was a great place to start our holiday. The hotel is clean with good sized rooms. We had the choice of 2 rooms, 1 with a mountain view, the other which we chose had a sea view and was wonderful. So peaceful sitting on the balcony watching the boats bob on the water. Air conditioning, tv and a mosquito thing so everything you could ask for. The bathroom was dated but very clean and for the price you really can't complain, I think the reviews saying otherwise are very unfair. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the breakfast - nothing wrong with it and it was only €5 but just not to my taste. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location.
No mod cons but everything you would require is available.
Good breakfast and nice staff.
If possible get a room on the top floor.
Would return in a minute to both this hotel and Serifos.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor for best views

Great value, had a twin bedded room with a sea facing balcony on the first floor. Very pleasant dated but charming decor. Perfectly clean. The owner was a charming man also, spoke very good English and I felt very at home staying here. Very good value and would certainly stay here again. This Hotel and its relaxed ambience added to my stay on Serifos which was only one night but was very memorable..from the lovely beach which although stony was the nicest Id swum from in all my island hopping, to my fantastic trip up to the mountain village of Chora and moonlit walk back down the wibbly wobbly path. Wonderful.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room and try for a higher one than the one I had.

We were fooled by pics on the internet as this hotel is old, shabby and living on it's former grandeur - it must have been great a long time ago (it has an elevator...just about hanging together!) but it's dusty, old and tired. Our room was very dirty (I didn't even tell my wife about the dirt under the bed - she'd have left there and then!) and the 'chambermaids' (there's hardly any staff at this place!!!) were constantly hassling to try and get in to 'clean' (they didn't and spent a cursory 5 mins max pretending to clean) whilst we were trying to chill out after breakfast. My wife actually stopped eating breakfast as one the hotel cats which had huge open sores and fur missing - from what looked like a road accident - kept hovering around the guests trying to cadge food. The owner (who is a truly nice guy and very proud of this place even though he hasn't realised that the rest of the world has moved on) was ever present especially on his laptop at one of the breakfast tables which didn't put us at ease. The tv volume in the room was locked down low and the channels kept changing (the owner was in charge of tuning from downstairs) as we were trying to watch things! If you like 70s pink bathrooms and brown paintwork this is for you but we wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.

We stayed twice in the summer of 2010 and t hen again in the summer of 2011. The hotel itself is nothing special... Adequate rooms, clean with all the comforts, this is also reflected in the very fair price. It has free wifi, which helped a lot, and a hotel manager ready to help. The most important thing for us was the view: amazing! The windows had some flowers and then we could see across the bay. It really made our holidays as at times we would sit on the balcony looking and talking... Also, the hotel is right at the port, so one c an walk to tavernas, cafes etc. Finally, what really impressed us was that Babis drive to the port when we were waiting for the boat, just so that he could give me the bag I forgot in the lobby of the hotel. Where else would one take the bike although he could see the boat approaching, run back to the hotel and then back to the port just to bring a client's bag?

Room Tip: We loved, loved, loved the sea view, but others really liked the rooms which had the view of the Hor...

We stayed here for just one night four years ago on a ferry stopover and decided we had to come back.

We arrived with no booking, but were recognised and made very welcome by Babis.

I had a dental problem and he went out of his way to find out when the dentist was coming to the island from Athens and made all the arrangements for me to see him, even taking me and then telling me off(!) for taking a taxi back rather than phoning him!

Breakfast is great value at E5, with unlimited free coffee even if you don't take breakfast. Also breakfast is available until 12.00 which is great when you are on holiday relaxing.

Babis also arranged for some washing to be done for us, at a great rate.

All in all, we would recommend this as one of the best hotels we have stayed at in our 30 years of going to Greece around many small islands.

One good tip, if you are put on the third floor, don't worry - very unusually there is a lift!

Sea view rooms are great, and beach is also very good. If you turn left when you come out of the hotel there is a lovely taverna about 300 metres away which gives you free sunbeds if you eat just a snack lunch, which was very good value for money and very tasty. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of it, but it is worth hunting out.

Room Tip: Sea view for a wonderful (free) cup of coffee in the morning. Also there is a lift, so no problem...

Nice budget hotel Great view from sea view rooms with flowering creepers on the balcony.Breakfast is extra and is self service taken in the dining room or outside on the terrace overlooking the beach and bay.Coffee is free whether buying breafast or not.The hotel can be seen from the ferry as you approach Serifos port and is about 10/15 mins walk.Friendly staff and helpful with local Knowledge.Free room safe and plkeny of hot water.THe walk up to the Chora on the old paved path takes about 45 mins but is well worth the climb.

Room Tip: sea view rooms are worth it.
