I have lost count of the number of times we have stayed here but the standards set by Irene and Peter remain excellent. This year our cottage, Norton, had a new kitchen, and a new bedroom layout with new bedroom furniture as part of the planned update of the facilities available. The weather this year was mixed and we had sun, hail, rain, snow, fog, and frost but whatever the weather Irene and Peter went that extra yard to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay even to stoking up the wood burning stove so that we were warm when we returned from a day out. They also catered for my son and daughter in law and six month old grandson by providing the cot, bedding and a high chair. I can wholeheartedly endorse what the other reviewers have said and will be returning with my family next year

Room Tip: It is difficult to make any suggestions as all the cottages are so comfortable with magnificent view...

We have just stayed in Kiri, 2x middle aged couples plus dog. Everything was perfect. Kiri was very well appointed and very clean. Nice. open space to walk the dog. Lovely walks from the property ,had an easy walk to Tarr Steps (and visit to the pub there).Peter had lit the wood burner so it was very warm and welcoming on our arrival and the home made scones were very tasty.
We had been recommended to visit West Hollowcoombe by our family who had stayed in November and again in January. We were not disappointed and would be happy to recommend these holiday cottages to any one.

This was our second stay at West Hollowcombe. The first being in Smiddy, and this time round in Jasper. Peter and Irene are the most hospitable of hosts and again we enjoyed the scones!! The beds are so comfy and large (a zip and link twin on both visits). Bathrooms are well appointed and clean and so are the kitchens. There is nothing better than to arrive at the cottage, and have a roaring log burner waiting for you!!! Thank you for a week of relaxation!! David, Jo & Lilly (the mad springer!!)

We stayed in smiddy cottage in August 2012 and had a fantastic time. We were made to feel really welcome, and the kids loved the outdoor space and freedom. The cottage was lovely and a great base for exploring exmoor. Thank you! Sally, Phil, Lilly and Willow ( and Nelson the dog)

We stayed in Jasper and it was fantastic. We had a very warm welcome from the owners, Peter and Irene, and the home-made scones were well appreciated. The accommodation was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Peter and Irene were really helpful, giving us advice on the local area and even giving our 3 year old son bikes to play on. He especially loved being allowed to sit on the tractor. We would recommend these to others and have even booked to go back again in 2013.

We stayed in Kiri lodge for 4 days over the New Year period with our son and Daughter in law, the log fire was burning as we arrived which was a very warm welcome and the layout and facilities were outstanding. Pete and Irene were very welcoming and informative hosts and the hospitality shown (wine and cream tea's) was excellent. This is truly a hidden gem we all had a wonderful time and would fully recommend to couples or family's.

With Regards

We stayed here July 2012 and we had a what I can only call a lovely unique holiday. Pete and Irene go out of their way to welcome you, and the kids love Farmer Pete!
There were plenty of bikes and Ride On Toys to keep the kids amused, and the play park and Pretty Play Cart were also a big hit!
Smiddy was very cozy, extremely clean, the kitchen has recently been modernised. We had a look at the other accommodation and it all looks just as nice, just bigger.
If you have a need for data connectivity or phone signal, this was very limited as it is all over Exmoor, but there was a WIFI connection if you go over close to Pete and Irene's house!
All in all a very welcoming and relaxed stay and we hope to go back one day.
