We stopped in at this motel before doing a river trip on the Arkansas River near Buena Vista. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the room was exactly as we had reserved. A bag of ice and fridge in room were nice amenities. The room had a nice ambiance to it, sort of lodgy and cozy, with windows on 2 sides. We got a quiet room set back from the highway. The room was simple but very well-maintained and clean, with nice colors. The beds were a bit firm for my tastes, but we slept OK, as it was quiet, and we woke to natural light through the windows. There is an Asian/American restaurant right next door, and easy walk,a nd we enjoyed our dinner there. Poncha Springs is a very small, quiet town, and we enjoyed out visit. Will stay at this lodge again if in the area.
