“Nice riverwalk!”

Being from Texas, I am very familiar with the San Antonio Riverwalk. This one is much smaller, only about a mile long, but very nice and clean. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon when my husband took the walk. It was not crowded, but several people were out walking or jogging. There are many statues along the walk (children, Indian woman with quilt, animals). There were signs in one area about Zebulon Pike. Not too many restaurants or businesses open along the walk, but a few. There are mileage signs in the pavement to let you know how much you have walked. There are boats and gondolas to ride in, but they were not running when we were there. We parked on the street in Downtown Old Pueblo right next to the riverwalk.

Although we've lived in CO for five years, we had never spent any time in Pueblo. What a mistake! The Riverwalk was immaculate, and looked like a nice place to walk. We didn't have much time to spend, but look forward to going back.

Pueblo Riverwalk is home to numerous activities, events, and festivals throughout the year. It is a great place to take the dogs or family for a walk. A "must-see" if you travel to Pueblo.

Clean, well-maintained walk with plenty of places to sit and rest or have a cold drink or bite to eat. Pets are welcome in some restaurants' outdoor eating areas. Guided boat tours and paddle boats are available and interesting historic information about Zebulon Pike and his quest to summit Pike's Peak (which he failed to do).

The river walk is a 1 mile walk with great food place located close by. The veterans bridge is spectacular to see all the names of different divisions on the same wall. The veterans museum is excellent experience and must so the iPad tour.
