“Great get-away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 November 2013

The property is quite and rustic get away. We stayed in one of the condos which was great. One of the best parts is that the property is dog friendly! They also have great hiking trails which double as xc ski trails in the winter.

Room Tip: I've heard the cabins are great, they were all booked so we stayed in a 2 bedroom condo. The co...

My wife and I determined to escape from our commitments and enjoy some time away.
We spontaneously booked an overnight stay at this facility.
With no cell phone and very limited Internet (restaurant) we enjoyed the isolation.
We ate three times in their on-campus restaurant.
In summary, we found the lodge facilities, the administrative staff and the food service personnel to be some of the best we have interfaced with in our recent travels.
To this end, we would highly recommend this end-of-the (dirt) road facility as a total disconnect escape.

Coming for the Hospitality Industry I can honestly say I had a great time at this Lodge. While the cabins are very rustic (we were in Beaver 2) they add to the theme of the whole mountain scene. We attended a wedding in Late October and while the weather did not cooperate the staff was great!! David.. who checked us in and out was wonderful!!

Thanks for a great stay!!

A beautiful "peace" of property located just about 2.5 hours from Denver. Remote and equisitely quiet. This was a "last minute overnight escape" for us, and the gentleman assisting me over the phone was extremely friendly, albeit a bit misleading. My friend was a "vegetarian" and so I asked about availability of vegetarian entrees at the Restaurant and was assured they would be available. Upon arrival the next day we were informed, that due to staffing issues, we had been "upgraded" from what I had booked as a 2BR "cottage" overlooking the river and mountains (which actually doesn't exist) to a "condo" overlooking the parking lot. And in fact, the Restaurant was NOT OPEN ???? The condo was very pleasant but we traveled specifically to "lay back, relax and "commune with nature" The condo with the balcony view of our satellite dish felt much more like a hotel. Fortunately we had brought some food with us, so we were able to make due, but given the remoteness of the property it would have been a significant challenge if we had not. The website "Lodging & Rate" link refers to "condominiums, cottages, cabins, hotel-style lodge rooms" and camping. We walked the property & studied the Ranch map, and found no "cottages". I delight in "simple and rustic" but looking into the cabins they appeared poorly appointed and not at all "quaint". The upshot for us was the adjoining stables who contract with the Ranch. We had the most wonderful experience with Clara, our guide Harold, their puppies, and some great horses. We two beginners experienced a most informative, safe, comfortable, breathtaking and enjoyable ride into the mountains. It was the highlight of our trip, and somewhat helped to redeem all the "misinformation". It's a lovely property . . . but may seem more accurately marketed if they were to drop the "Resort" from their title for the time being . . . Wishing them much success!

We stumbled upon this place and we were very pleased. The room we stayed in was clean any homey but in need of an update. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We found the walls to be paper thin, so ask for an upper level room with only one adjoining room for the best possible option. The real wood burning fireplace with supplied wood was a real treat. There is plenty to do in the area from hiking, to horseback riding, to ATV's and more. The restaurant on the property is good with a varied menu. We ate several meals there and we were not disappointed in anything. The view from our balcony were inspiring and restful. Check out their website to learn lots more.

My daughter and her fiance had their wedding here. The staff at Beaver Meadows helped to create an awesome wedding for them. The reception food was great. The condos and cabins are quaint/rustic. There are also camping spots up there too. The resort is also dog-friendly. All in all, our families and friends had a great weekend - one that they won't soon forget.

This resort/ranch lodge was a nice little find! It has very nice rooms, ours even had a balcony with a marvelous view overlooking their lakes. Plenty of trails right from the lodge for horseback riding or hiking. Not too far from Fort Collins to make it a nice weekend escape!
