Clean, Clean, very comfy, friendly staff close to everything. We have stayed in several hotels around the globe I think this is one of the cleanest rooms we have ever been in. I love the towel policy if its on the towel rack it wil not be changed if its on the floor it will be changed, after all we don't change towel or sheets everyday at home! The staff was very helpful. we were able to walk to most activities in town. The room was super quiet they even let me see the room before I booked the reservation. We went to Salida over Memorial weekend just to "get away" for a few days, I would do it all over again and stay in the same place. Thank You Woodland motel for making our stay so pleasant!!!

Room Tip: request a quiet room

There was very little traffic noise in the upstairs room. The layout of the motel was inviting and very pretty with the flowers growing from the window boxes and around the fountain. The mountains and hills gave a great western feel to the area. The staff were very helpful and even moved our luggage from one room to another when we decided to extend our stay. The "S" mountain is practically right outside the door.

The rooms are very clean and it is nice to wake up in the morning and see the mountains surrounding the area. It is pet friendly and the several times we have stayed we have felt most welcome each time. The staff is always willing to help and very friendly. We enjoy staying at the Woodland Motel.

Room Tip: You can go online and view the different rooms. The rooms on the north have the best view.

Great little clean motel with excellent service and friendly staff. Close to town. Really pet friendly so if you have pets be a good guest and control your pet so this motel will remain a friend to pet owners :-) We pet folk need nice places like this!

Room Tip: Rates are on par with the rest of the motels in the area.

We have stayed in the Woodland 20+ visits and always leave pleased. The rooms are clean and well maintained, the owners and staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the town. We travel frequently with our dogs and this is the best motel that accepts dogs on top of just being a really reasonable place to stay and enjoy Salida. It has character and a small town feel that is lost in the chain lodging on the highway. If you're looking for the Westin you're in the wrong town!

Room Tip: There is a discount if you do not need daily maid service, save some water and some cash.

My husband and I love visiting small towns, so on our travels thru Colorado we visited Salida. The Woodland Motel was homelike, a comfortable, clean and friendly place to stay for several nights while we enjoyed hiking around the town and surrounding territory. We were notified in advance of our arrival, that the room we selected was being repaired, we were upgraded at no charge, and management was very gracious about the change. Next time in Colorado we will return to Salida and Woodland Motel.
