Our family spent a wonderful week in this charming cottage. The cottage stands right above the lake and the view on a sunny day is fantastic. The owners have kayaks and paddle-boards which we could use, and we went out kayaking on the lake every day. All furniture, amenities and kitchen utensils are brand new, and it was a pleasure just to spend a lazy half-day inside. It has a collection of board games (we played monopoly with kids) and blue-ray videos to watch on a huge TV screen in the evenings. The store in the community satisfies basic needs, and you can walk to a local farm to buy fresh eggs for breakfast. We went to Niagara Falls one day, toured Burning Kiln winery the other, and visited Port Dover, an inviting touristy town half-an-hour away. There is a place for a camp-fire to make s’mores in the backyard and a gas barbecue to cook outside. Amiable place all-in-all to just enjoy the lake or to use as a base to explore the region.
