Lichenhearth Condos are old. At least the building we stayed in was. Nice location, only steps from the lift and the ski class meeting place... Tree House. This is probably the least expensive lodging in Snowmass, so one can't expect luxury. We had one room with the bedroom separated by a curtain of sorts. Wood burning fireplace with lots of cut wood just outside on the patio. Kitchen, which was fine. Couch, two chairs and a small TV. One hanging wardrobe and two chests-of-drawers. Comfortable, but not luxurious. One wall was mostly glass, and faced the pool and the bunny slope. Numbers 32,34,36,22,24,26 have views of the slopes. The others do not. There are two buildings, I believe. Parking was right under the building, convenient and free. The people are nice, however the maids don't do a very good job. Snowmass is wonderful, so wherever you stay, you will have a great time.

We stayed in Condo 5 for a weekend at the end of September to do some hiking in the area. The condo complex is a little old, but the condo was well maintained and clean. There was a porch with a nice view and the living room was huge! The pool and hot tub looked nice, but closed at 9 so we never made it in them. The price was fair, but the location could have been better - nothing is open in Snowmass Village in September. No coffee, no breakfast, no bars, no shops, nothing! We had to drive to Aspen (~20 minutes) for everything. Im guessing this would be a great place to stay during ski season.

We stayed for 2 nights in a silver level condo. Apparently this means the unit has been updated but not as much as a gold condo but more than a bronze condo. The one bedroom unit was very clean, quiet and very relaxing. We would definitely return here and likely will when in the area again. We had the pool and hot tub nearly to ourselves. It is within walking distance (although it's an uphill walk) of the plaze shops at the top of the hill in Snowmass. There is also a shuttle you can take. There is also a covered spot for one car per unit. The building also had a laundry facility which was free and clean. Highly recommend trying these condos.

Unit 16,, well stocked with everything you would need,,, our unit was a little on the warm side,, maybe a ceiling fan in living room and bedroom would help since we are from the Florida panhandle,we are use to those A/C things that are rare out here. The bathroom , shower, hot tub were amazing ,,, the bed was a little on the hard side from me , I am however use to a pillow top mattress.. Overall I would stay again.

My 11-year old son and I just stayed here and were very happy. It's not as updated as other condos around us such as Capitol Peak, but it's clean, bright, quiet. It has all the amenities you need (washer/dryer, hair dryer/ iron/board, kitchen with everything, balcony, fireplace with wood, pool/hot tub, large screen tv's, maid service etc. You can walk anywhere, from the lower Village to the upper Village (or can take the little taxi gondola), and you can truly ski in/out right to the Village Express ski lift. I would recommend requesting a ground floor unit if you have a lot of gear - after a long day of skiing this 40-plus mom was tired and there's no elevator! It's a great value - we chose a less expensive condo so we could eat out every night, and it was totally worth it. They were wonderful with helping me arrange the shipping of our skis. My only complaint was my airport shuttle did not show up as planned, but when I called, they came right away and whisked me to the airport in my own shuttle without stopping. We love Snowmass!!!

Room Tip: Choose ground level, especially if older or have little ones.

We stayed in a one bedroom condo, and the location is truly the best part of this place. I've stayed in numerous places in Snowmass, and this by far is my favorite place at this point.

Right at the base of Fanny Hill - it's ski-in for sure (you can ski to your backdoor, if you have a unit with a patio), and a "walk-out" (rather than ski-out). It's a short, easy walk to the base of Fanny Hill. The units are decent-sized (not huge by any means), and comfortable for a small family (2 adults with one child maybe). Two grown kids might not be so comfy. The bathroom is spacious and well laid out, too. The hot tub is just outside the buildings - very convenient!

A family friend stayed in another unit that was a studio - it was large and comfortable, with a full kitchen.

So why 4 stars and not 5? The service was "iffy" here. Checking-in was not smooth (through Snowmass Hospitality). Our host was not very knowledgeable about the units and had to keep getting corrected by his coworkers. He tried to show us on a map how to get to our unit but was unable to give us firm directions. The friend that stayed as well had an even more confusing experience. They rectified everything in the end, so all was righted, but it was still a bit cumbersome and unnecessarily confusing.

Really, the biggest draw here is the location and the price. For ski-in (almost ski-out), it's worth the money you pay. It's fair-priced for the location and the size - I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Spring for the renovated rooms if you can, and ask for a patio with a sliding back door to the slope...

Been there 3 times & will stay there again. Central to ski lifts, ski in, ski out, as well as restaurants. Bus stops right in front for free trips in village and to Aspen town & Buttermilk ski areas. Warm swimming pool & jacuzzi. Sleep at least 4 adults & 2 kids. Very spacious for 2 adults & still cheap. All necessary kitchen amenities and general washing room for clothes with dryers. Excellent service, clean, quiet & good value for money overall.
