“Three Diners; Three Bad Meals”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2013

It is rare that everybody in a party at a restaurant gets a bad meal, but it happened to all three of us on Sat. March 2, 2013 at The Edge Restaurant at Timberline Lodge, Snowmass, CO. Nobody enjoyed what they were eating. My lobster ravioli was so spicy it burned my lips and I couldn't even tell if it was lobster that was in the ravioli. The second person ordered pork wrapped in bacon and the pork was overcooked and dried out. The third person ordered a califlower soup that was doctored with all sorts of indistinguishable bits and pieces. She couldn't even eat it. We were a offered free dessert (which we turned down) We overheard a waiter at another table offering to take off some of the charge to placate the people at that table, so we asked our witer to do the same. We each received a discount of four dollars. I don't know if the regular chef was off that night, but I never went back to find out.

“Good food, limited menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2013

We were a bit disappointed when we got there, because the menu didn't have some things that were on their website that we wanted to get. There was no vegetarian entree. The menu being served when we went seemed more limited than what they posted on their wedsite. That said, what we did end up getting was tasty and portion were generous. An appetizer and vegetarian soup was enough for my vegetarian husband.

“Reasonable meal in Snowmass”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2013

We visited The Edge for the first time this year. This restaurant is fairly new, having taken over from another establishment. The fare is good but not overly memorable. The atmosphere feels a bit common for such a winter wonderland location. The hotel in which it is housed is dated but the staff are friendly. Our service was acceptable but not overly welcoming. The cost was very reasonable compared to some other, pricier places in Snowmass.

“snowmass restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2013

we carried out for dinner once. the food was good and made us want to try the restaurant again. we went to breakfast once as well. that was a mistake. we were the only ones in the place, food took about 45 mins to arrive. we were not happy about that. BUT have to say, once the food did arrive, it was very good. the management said they are working out kinks. sounds like the kinks for breakfast exist, but that dinners run very smooth. hopefully they will get it worked out soon. has great potential

“Very nice evening at the Edge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2013

We were staying at the Timberline, and they urged us to try the restaurant. Finally we did. Caesar's salad was good (alot better than a high priced hotel nearby) The smoked tomato soup was outstanding and the entree (beef flank steak) was very good. The portion of the entree was too big to finish and the sides were excellent. We definitely will eat there again on our next visit. Recommend reservations as it filled up quickly - our reservations were at 6:00 PM
