“Convenient, Clean, Updated”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

Nice studio loft that slept 4 comfortably. Updated and clean. Two TVs, nice kitchen. Would have been great to have an oven (stovetop only). There was no room service that we knew of (maybe the restaurant offered some? not sure). No kids activities were mentioned, but there was a nice pool and spa and a small game room, which was plenty for our kids.

Room Tip: 3rd floor loft condo was spacious and comfy. Very quiet. No elevator was quite tough though, conside...

Thank you very much for staying with us and for your comments! We hope not having the oven was not too much of an inconvenience. The studio loft you stayed in was recently remodeled, but the oven was not included with the remodel. The Edge restaurant offers take-out, but no room service yet! All of our condos are individually owned and decorated, so please contact reservations if you have any questions on the units for a future stay.

We hope that you come back with the kids as there are fun places for them - the Snowmass Ice Age Discovery Center (features hands on exploration of mammoth and other ice age creatures found in Snowmass), the Elk Camp Gondola, Valhalla Friday nights (campfire, music, movies, kids playground), and opening soon - a new bowling alley! We will work with the Front Desk to make sure they have all this information. The front desk and/or bellmen can help you carry anything up to your condo too!

Great price on a great room when in town for mostly business. But, enjoyed the pool, hot tubs, steamroom and great Edge Restaurant on the 2nd floor. Staff were all friendly, helpful and not one complaint about anybody. The place was clean. Our room (privately owned so all different so we understand) was spot-on and lovely walk-out to door. I could see this as a GREAT ski-in, ski-out spot in winter.

Recommendations: Open pool earlier in the morning for before work swim and leave hot tubs open later in evening - closing at 9 pm is just too soon if you have a long day, then eat, and by then, no time to get into the hot tubs. Good exercise room too if you could bear to work-out indoors when you have the beauty of the mountains all around.

Never used the shuttle but enjoyed the walk down to the mall (300 steps) and the tough hike back up (400 steps - much shorter on the uphill clime). If I didn't live at this altitude, I'd probably had wanted to call for a shuttle -and after a long day of skiing, I know I'd have asked for a shuttle. All around great place and I'd stay again next year when we return for work gig.

Our family of four spent 4 XMAS in a row. Needless to say more... location+ true ski inn ski out (not like many other places that say but they are not ski inn ski out), close to village, you don't depend on shuttle. They take you to groceries if you don't have a car. We always had a car, 25 USD for one week! Wonderful atmosphere + cleanness + coziness! tks Timberline!

Room Tip: When our kids were smaller, we rented rooms in the main building for 3 years, when they grew older w...

As usual, we had a great stay at Timberline during the presidents' week. We've gotten spoiled with the ski-in ski-out accomodations. We used to get the 1 bdr with loft as these are less expensive, but my 2 kids are getting tall and the loft ceilings are low, so this time we got a 2 bdr. Also, the loft units are all on the third level and my old legs get tired of walking up stairs at the end of the day (limh). The old heated pool was great but the new pool with 2 jacussis are even better. The front desk staff are helpful and attentive. Thank you Jessie for sending me the pants I left behind!

Situated beside the Fanny Hill ski run this property is in a prime location offering ski in/ ski out convenience. The Snowmass Mall is just a couple of minutes down the road. Because of the altitude the walk back up the hill is a bit of an effort. There is a free shuttle available to take you further afield in Snowmass and the wait was never very long. The property is well appointed and is everything that one could ask for on a skiing holiday. The associated Edge Restaurant and bar offer good value. Unfortunately it was here that we encountered a most obnoxious staff member. We were travelling with a group of more than 20 skiers and without exception those who encountered this female staff member found her to be rude and arrogant. Her habit of walking away making critical and sarcastic comments at the top of her voice was particularly irritating.

I stayed at the Timberline condo complex 2/ 2 - 9/2013 while attending a conference at the Westin.
We stayed in 2 different condo.s. The Timberline condo was only a short walk down from the conference facility as well as Snowmass Village and the bus system. No car was necessary for us to visit Aspen, the Highlands or Buttermilk since the highly efficient Snowmas/Aspen bus system took us every where we wanted to go.

If you body needs to adjust to the altitude, the walk up from the Westin/ conference center to the Timberline could be initially tiring, especially in ski boots. However I felt it was great exercise and stretching before skiing.

As for Timberline:

Hospitality and requests were wonderful. People were very friendly & helpful.

Our first lodging, a studio loft, # 304, provided ample space for 2 between the loft bed and the main floor Murphy bed. The kitchen was well equipped and functional minus the coffee maker. ( It, the coffee maker, probably only needed a good cleaning.) We enjoyed the close proximity of the condo to the ski slopes and hot tub. The view was fantastic! It definitely was a perk to be slope side!

The 2nd condo was D2D, a stunning 2b/2b place with ample room for 4 ! The coffee maker brewed perfect tasting coffee. Obviously coffee is important to me. I thoroughly liked this place though it is more costly. It was definitely well decorated & maintained. My only regret was that we only spent one night in this perfect condo.

Room Tip: My tips regarding rooms are including above. I preferred the larger 2b/2b place however the price wa...
