“Warm and comfy accomodations.......great hospitality! Affordable.”
Reviewed 21 March 2011

Just got back from a great ski trip to Wolf Creek. (Best snow in Colorado). We always stay on the east side of the mountain at South Fork.............for two reasons: we love the Ute Bluff lodge and when there happens to be lots of new snow, many times those poor souls who stay in Pagosa Springs (west side) find the mountain pass closed for part or all of the day! That has never happened to us. The Ute Bluff Lodge offers warm, comfortable accomodations at very affordable prices where our hosts, Debbie and Paul, go out of their way to be friendly, helpful in many (unexpected) ways as well as charming and fun! See you there......................but just don't try to get suite #10 in early March.

The cabin was truly enjoyable; clean, quiet, lovely views out the windows. We plan to visit again.

This is a very nice place! We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was perfect for us and our two teenagers. We plan to go back during skiing season. It was very clean, and that's a big deal to me.

Nothing special; the room was a bit dated but functional and clean. Friendly staff/owners. Great for inexpensive ski weekend at Wolf Creek.

We have stayed here several times, and will be back in 2009. Paul and Deb are fantastic hosts, the rooms are always clean and tidy. The TWO hot tubs are great after a day on the mountain, and the atmosphere is always one of "thanks for being our friends".
We have not been here during ski season, but in September it is quiet and peaceful. Love being able to sleep with the windows open and listening to the night sounds.
thank you, Paul and Deb, for a great accomodation.

I was referred by another inn that had no singles. When I arrived at Ute Bluff they seemed unhappy that I wasn't the motorcyclist that the $61 rate was quoted to.I was informed that the room "is usually $74 but we will go head and let you have the discount"-Gee thanks I really feel special. I was put on the second floor with all my computer gear, cooler of grub, and bags to carry up. The Motorcycles that arrive after me were all given ground floor rooms. Guess I should have brought my Harley. When I left the next morning there were still a lot of un-taken ground floor rooms. I was refused internet access because "too many people are using it and its not working". Come on! the place was half empty. when I checked for a WiFi connection the Ute Bluff was putting out 3 bars and prompting for a pass word?! Ever feel like your being lied to? The room was decently clean (cobwebs and soda spray stains on the wall and "art"). My big problem was the negative energy at check in -it had me PO'd the rest of the night. that just made more pissed about the Wifi.

This lodge has been updated and improved over the past few years. We have stayed there frequently and will always return when in South Fork. All the log cabins have been refinished to their natural log finish and are comfortable and cozy. The owners/operators go out of their way to be helpful and attend to guests needs. If you are a nature lover, this is a great place to stay, we hike into the adjoining forest almost every time we are there. We have seen guests riding ATVs into the surrounding forest and talked to people who have been trout fishing. We have always stayed in a cabin, but there are motel rooms and RV spaces too.
