We had so much fun in Steamboat Springs, that the next trip there we are bringing the kids. The staff at Wyndham Steamboat Springs was the best and most helpful staff of any Wyndham we have ever stayed at.

I want to start off by saying that it really takes a lot for me to post a negative review. To be fair, the rooms themselves are nice, clean and spacious. The only negative thing I really could say about the room is that some of the handles were missing from the cabinets in the kitchen. The location is good, and the grounds are nice as well (2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, 2 spas).
The problem we had was with check in. My family are WorldMark owners, and reserved the room several months prior to our stay. We arrived at about 1pm, and were told our room was not available, which was completely fine because we were aware that check in was not until 4pm. At that time they got my cell phone number so they could call me as soon as my room was ready, and then directed me over to get my parking pass (aka: talk to the pushy guy trying to get us to attend a sales presentation). Just after 4pm, I had not yet received a call that my room was ready, so I opted to go back and check the status. I was told our room was still not ready, so I asked if we could at least get a key to the pool, which they did give us. After waiting around until almost 6pm, and still not received a call, I went back again. Apparently rooms not being ready was a bit of a problem because there were several other folks at the front desk that were not happy about not having a room yet (a very upset lady who had been on a fishing trip all day comes to mind). I was told yet again that my room was not ready, and this time was told it would be about 45 more minutes. At 7:30pm we finally received a call that our room was ready (please note, it was 1 1/2 hrs later). To add insult to injury, the girl that finally gave us our room keys was barely apologetic. In fact she made a comment that in all of her time working there she had never seen a room take so long...oh lucky me! We were given 3 extra "movie rentals" for our time...um, thanks?? Here's a hint Wyndham, if you want someone to buy at your property DO NOT start their stay off this way.

Dear OneHappyTravelGirl,
So sorry to hear that it took us so long to get your room ready; that certainly is not our intent nor how we want to start your vacation. The delay was due to a shortage of staff in our housekeeping department. Please do accept our apologizes. We were happy to hear that the condo did meet your cleanliness and quality expectations. We hope you can make it for a trip in the future and give us another try.
Sincerely,
Kristin Meucci

Everything is this resort is top notch and top of the line. We had a one bedroom suite with a comfy king size bed with a white fluffy comforter, crisp white sheets - just like I like my room and the Wyndham did not disappoint we had a great nights sleep. Our suit had a kitchenette with all the utensils to cook a nice meal along with a table that sat four. The living room had a couch, chair, end table, stereo, DVD player, fireplace and a pull down closet bed which I believe was queen size. The bathroom has a tub/shower and was extremely clean. A washer and dryer was provided in the closet along with laundry soap, paper towels, dish soap, dish scrubber and garbage bags. The towels I found a little rough ( a lot rough) but you can use the pool towels that are under the bathroom sink and I found them softer and larger. Maid service would be an extra and you need to call the front desk for service. There are 2 outdoor pools as well as an indoor pool all looked very inviting. We did not swim but noticed lots of pools and hot tubs while walking to dinner. There is a picnic area with grills and you have your own balcony with table and chairs. Very homey and we enjoyed our time in Steamboat. When you get hungry you can walk to Blue Sage Pizza or two other bar/grilles that are in the plaza behind the resort. I would think all the rooms are accessible because the doors are extra wide even the bathroom. (check first) Parking was in the underground garage and you needed to use your room key to enter. The resort is large with different things happening in different areas like the gondola taking you to the top of the mountain or shops and different restaurants within the resort. A+ Every morning we watched the big colorful hot air balloons that are rented in the area. Free public bus transportation is available for the downtown shops.

Room Tip: We were by the elevator and walk way and it was still quiet. I doubt there is a bad room.

Green Features: Bags for recycling are provided and free of charge under the kitchen sinks

Staying at this Worldmark by Wyndham property was relaxing and just what we wanted for our mini vacation. The rooms were beautiful! We ended up staying in a 2 bedroom the first night and then switched to a 2 bedroom deluxe for two nights just due to availability issues. The property is still under construction but that didn't seem to be a problem for anyone. Staff was very helpful, even moved our luggage for us into our new room on that second day. The sales staff answered our questions without being pushy or overbearing - just very informative and helpful. Although there are three pools, we only used the outdoor pool that has the hot tub next to it. This seemed to satisfy my children, but those with younger children would definitely want to check out the zero entry pool. This is a great property with groceries, parks, shuttles, fast food, and fine dining all nearby. Definitely on the top of our list of places to visit again!

Room Tip: With Worldmark, the room is chosen based on availability. I think most any room will have a deck wit...

This was our first time to Steamboat Springs and staying at this Wyndham was a good choice. It not only had all the amenities of home, but the sales staff wasn't trying to push you into buying a time share..like at so many other Wyndhams we've stayed at before. My only complaint is that the hot tub isn't next to the pool as they usually are; you have to leave the pool area to get to the hot tub and if you have children you want to keep an eye on in the pool while you relax in the hot tub, you can forget it. We have teens, so this wasn't an issue for us directly. This Wyndham is located just minutes from downtown Steamboat.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property, and we are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. You are correct our center courtyard pool is not immediately adjacent to a hot tub but we do have a swimming pool at the Clubhouse with a hot tub located about 5 feet away. Sorry you might have missed this amenity. If there is anything else you think of that could make your stay or that of other owners more pleasant please don't hesitate to contact us at the resort.
Sincerely,
Kristin Meucci

Wyndham and worldmark owners. Stayed in building 6. Great accommodations. Sleeps 8 so was odd that table only sat 6 and porch table only sat 4... 3 bedroom but cable only in 2 of the 3 bedrooms - front desk said comcast only avail in 2 rooms - so the tv that didn't work was odd... Not that baby friendly no shade or umbrellas available at the pool. But overall beautiful scenery, great weather - great time !

Thank you for the review Mitzi M. I sincerely appreciate the feedback on how the management team can improve our amenities for our owners. I am happy to report the umbrellas that have been on back-order for ages have finally arrived and are up and providing shade around our two outdoor swimming pools. Additionally I have shared your notes about the size of the dining table with our resort design team for future consideratioin during remodels.
Looking forward to your return visit sometime soon.
Best,
Kristin Meucci
