Each year we visit Steamboat for a Spring Ski Trip. It is always with great anticipation that we dine at the "Pig". The food is always creative and service friendly. We are a large party and can be quite disruptive to any restaurant. The "Pig" always handles us professionally. Of course we will return.

Truffle Pig is in the Gondola Square area of Steamboat Springs so it is perfect for dinner or a drink after skiing. The drink menu is filled with interesting cocktails and hot drinks. Nice list of small plates to go with drinks if that is what you want. Paul had bison short ribs that melted in your mouth. I had pork with pickled onions. Our waiter, Aaron, saved our evening. Our son was driving in from Denver and was a bit delayed. We had already ordered when Aaron made sure he put our son's order in ASAP so we wouldn't be held up by a large party about to order. We never had to wait to order a drink or any extras as Aaron seemed to appear as soon as we desired a thing. Outside sitting area has a fire pit and view of slopes,

I love going to happy hour here! $2 beers and the bar tenders Scott and Dave are great. The views of the slopes are great as well.

Came here for happy hour only 2:30-5:30 pm and drink specials are pretty good. Better than most places at the base of the mountain. Food is overpriced. Wouldn't come here to eat. Location is great though. Our service was excellent.

The portions are fairly small for the price. Employees never seem thrilled to be working their - I can only assume this is due to the negative attitudes from the management. That said, happy hour is fantastic and the patio facing the mountain is great on a warm and sunny afternoon.
