“Relaxed stay!”

Staff was friendly, room was clean and felt very comfortable at this location. They upgraded me automatically upon arrival. I also had to checkout 15 minutes later than planned and they were very accomodating.

This was our first stay (2 nights) in the Steamboat Springs area as a way to start to get acquainted with this part of Colorado (we live near Denver). We booked it based on its walking proximity to the outdoor botanic gardens (a must see), the bike/walking path along the river (which takes you on a short walk to downtown), and the reviews here. Overall it is a nice property though we did not use the pool. As others have mentioned it is near the railroad tracks, but I think we only heard the train once and that was during the day and it did not bother us. After checking in at the front desk with Jennifer on the day we arrived and going to the room we did notice our sheets had some old(?) stains and maybe a footprint(?). We politely mentioned it to Jennifer and she herself promptly came and changed out the sheets and was apologetic. Otherwise the room was very clean. I did initially have some trouble accessing the hotel's wireless network, but it was because my personal plug-in adapter was having issues. The hotel was able to lend me a plug in "wireless" unit (didn't know anyone made anything like that) which worked out fine (there is a Staples about 1 mile away going back out of town if you need technology). The bed was comfortable (a little on the firm side). They had good hot breakfast options in addition to a standard continental offering. When we checked out I was a little irritated that the final bill was about .80 cents more than the quote we had from the Internet booking on the Hampton Inn website. The person at the front desk was unable to change it, but she did reimburse the difference. She did not know why that happened. It wasn't the amount of money, but the principle involved that annoyed me. Also, I should point out that even though this property is not near the ski slopes there is a resort fee per night. Despite the minor hiccups, overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again. For proximity to downtown and the botanical gardens it was a great location.

Room Tip: South side rooms get more direct sun, but face the railroad tracks. North side rooms are in the sha...

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! It was a pleasure having you with us. Jennifer is one of our best front desk agents and I am proud to hear she was able to take such good care of you. I have shared your review with the entire staff and we will work on correcting those hiccups. We will also be looking into our booking system to make sure all of the charges are set correctly so the final bill quoted is the correct amount. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. As always, we love having you and we look forward to seeing you again next time!

This Hampton Inn & Suites was a very beautiful and clean hotel. The lobby was decorated with a country flair. Staff was nice and friendly! We were greeted by many of the managers during breakfast. We only stayed one night, but would return again.

This is a wonderful hotel and the staff were extremely helpful. They helped us with directions, dining, sights, and weather updates. The breakfast hostess was very sweet and hospitable. I hope to visit this hotel again!

We were on our way home early from vacation due to the flood. We drove through Steamboat Springs and decided to spend the night. This Hampton Inn is somewhat different in layout than most, but very nice. Our original standard room was next to a machinery room which was quite noisy. When we called the desk they came to our room within minutes and agreed that it was quite loud and upgraded our room to a suite. This was more than they needed to do and we appreciated how they took care of us. We would definitely recommend this Hampton.

We stopped here, shy of heading up to Rocky Mountain National Park. We were upgraded to a HUGE room with 2 king beds and 2 full bathrooms. The down side to that was we had to hike all of our "stuff" up to the third floor, as the elevator didn't go all the way up. The room was very comfortable, but the railroad tracks run right behind the hotel. About midnight, a long coal hauling train went through, "tooting" several times right at the hotel. The breakfast was typical, in a comfortable environment. There was heavy rain and flash flooding in the area we were planning to go (Estes Park), so we had to backtrack to head north out of the area. The staff at the desk was very helpful in helping us choose our route out. No on site restaurant, but we called for pizza and it was delivered promptly.

Room Tip: You could try asking for a room on the front of the hotel, but I'm not sure it would alleviate t...

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! It was a delight having you with us. I understand the train can come through town at any time and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. If you stop in Steamboat Springs again, give me a call and I would be happy to reserve a room for you on the opposite side of the hotel. Thank you again and have a great day!

My husband and I are huge Hilton fans so we try to stay at these whenever we are looking for a hotel. We had been planning to camp in Steamboat but it was POURING out so we called up the Hampton and asked if they could give us a deal. They took $20 off the rate, which was appreciated. They didn't have any upstairs rooms available so we were on the first floor. The rooms seem a little tired and could use new bedspreads and carpet. Otherwise, the free breakfast in the morning is always great to have (but a hot vegetarian egg option would be nice -- the omelets had ham).

The hotel is a bit outside of town so if you are looking for something walking distance, I don't think this would be it.

We enjoyed the hot tub outside (there are 3) and the fitness center.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! I am sorry to hear you could not go camping but I am glad to know we were able to take care of you. We continue to look for ways to improve our hotel and I thank you for your suggestions. Our hot breakfast items change daily so the guests have multiple options. If you choose to stay with us again, please call us in advance and we would be more than happy to put in a special request for just scrambled eggs or a plain egg omelet. Thank you again and have a great day!
