Saddles is the bar/lounge/restaurant that is part of Sheraton Steamboat Resort. It is literally at the foot of the ski slopes one stair level above the black flags. We walked into the lounge & saw the window tables were all taken but a server offered to deliver drinks to us at the fireplace room just around the corner outside the lounge.
We sat next to a raging fire, a gorgous giant window on comfy chairs and a giant curved sofa.
The cocktails were large and generously potent - not watered down at all. They were quite delicious.
My bloody Mary was exceptionally tasty & spicy - perfectly prepared - and it was huge.
Bring your group here for drinks, conversation and a gorgeous slope view. You wont be disappointed. There is also live music!

This is a slope side bar in the Sheraton hotel, and we came here for dinner one evening while on a ski trip. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are friendly and efficient, the service is excellent, and the food is good. We chose a couple of sharing platters and they were interesting and tasty. One cheesecake dessert was easily big enough to share. The wine list is extensive, and there are local beers available. Highly recommended.

This is a quiet (really quiet at lunch) slopeside restaurant in the Sheraton hotel. It is convenient for skiers, uncrowded, totally silent, and has good ice water. The Soup and Sandwich lunch consists of a bowl of Marinara sauce substituting for tomato soup and half a cheese sandwich.
Reminds me of a Medicare nursing home. Servings are small enough that you will need to eat somewhere else too. I recommend the Truffle Pig beside the gondola. They have a fine lunch.

If you are staying at the Sheraton or just skiing Steamboat Saddles is a great place to take a break. You can grab a cozy lounge or couch, sit at regular or high top tables or the bar while in your ski gear. The vast majority do skiers hit places in the Village or the grill in the lower level and do r know about Saddles up one floor from the main ski area. Nothing nicer than taking a break from the mountain without fighting the crowds or the noise. Food is very good and reasonably priced.

Our service was a bit slow, but very accommodating to our groups needing their meals all at the same time. The food, while priced to be a hotel valued fare ( $15.00 for burger), was good, and worth eating. $14.00 for a medium salad which was also tasty. Later, we had a buffet, for which the staff worked hard to get us fed quickly, and ran around to tend to our other needs diligently.
The setting of the large windows, overlooking the town; the attention to the details of the food service dishes indicated some thoughtful work during their renovation. They are a bit on the pricey side, but then, in fairness, they are in the mountains, which is always a bit upwards, and they are a hotel, with the same budget tendencies.
