“Still go there!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2013

Each year we visit Steamboat we find our way for a lunch at least one day to Tugboat. This year was no exception. It was late lunch, but still busy and our waiter's first day. The food was fine, but the kitchen was very, very slow. Our waiter continued to apologize for the slowness. We still enjoyed our lunch and will return on our next visit to Steamboat. (We do avoid going in after skiing as it is too crowded and loud for us!).

“Music has gone down hill”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2013

Used to have good music, but we got a bad one and had to pay the $5 cover for 20 people. not really happy with that, but it's still worth a try because the bands used to be really good. i'm hoping we just got a bad day.

“Close to slopes!”

Our group enjoyed our lunch at Tugboat. Close enough to walk to slopes but not as crowded as places right at the gondola. I would recommend the chili and chicken nachos.

“Every mountain has a classic or two that have been there from the early days, this is Steamboat's.”

In spite of of a lousy review the day before that we read just before going out the door, we had a great time and the food and service were as good as it gets in this type of setting which is why you come in the first place.

“I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2013 via mobile

We had heard great thing about this place and were completely disappointed in our experience. We arrived about 7pm. There were 2 tables open that we could see. It took 10 minutes for us to even be greeted. Once we were set at a table, the waitress took our drink order. 20 minutes into the wait for our food, I asked for refills for the table. The waitress seemed to be on drugs at this point. She poured water all over the table, didn't apologize or clean up the mess. At 7:45, she told us our food should be right out. She never returned to the table after that. I talked to the owner at 8pm who went to the kitchen the kitchen to check on our food. 15 minutes later, my boyfriend told him we were going to leave if our food wasn't ready. His response was "I don't know what to tell ya." We left an hour and 15 minutes after arrival without ever receiving food. After speaking with some locals, we found out that they always include the tip. That might explain why they didn't seem to care about service.
