Great for large (or small) parties - large restaurant, but feels cozy since a lot of smaller rooms and rustic barn feel. Delicious filets and trout and scrumptious brownie w/ice cream dessert and huge mud pie. Very good service!

We had wonderful service and very good food. Everyone in my party had steak, and we all chose the house potatoes (yum!) as our side.
The salad bar is crisp, cool and fresh, not to mention plentiful.
The restaurant has TONS of personality and they encourage you to walk around and take a look at the decor.
Very family friendly.
We really enjoyed our meal.

We took our family, a 15 and 7 year old, both who complain about a lot, and to our dismay, both enjoyed their food. Prime rib great, blackened rib eye and raspberry chipolte salmon delish! We will go back!

Another very popular Steamboat restaurant located between the downtown and ski area but well serviced by the free bus service.
We made a reservation a couple of days before our visit and took advantage of the sunset menu. This is available between 5.00 and 6.00pm and provides a slightly reduced menu choice but still with seven choices complete with sides and salad bar for quite a substantial reduction in cost.
The restaurant had a number of different dining spaces, do go upstairs and look at some of the memorability, and we were comfortably seated in a booth adjacent but not too close to the bar.
After being served warm ranch rolls and Ore House’s own cinnamon rolls our order of a shared appetizer of Pork Ribs arrived. The waiter had said we would get about five ribs but when the dish arrived there were about eight on the plate. They were delicious and a great way to start (ribs in NZ in comparison seem to be mostly bone!!!).
One of our main meals was Trout, with blackened spice rub, with an extra of Crab meat and Béarnaise sauce
The other meal was a delicious and perfectly cooked Sirloin.
Both meals came with the house potato, a mix of shredded red potato, fresh coriander (cilantro) and spices, formed into a ball and fried.
There are other potato choices but we wouldn’t choose them after tasting the house potato!! Delicious.
To accompany the meals we had a Californian Cab.Sav. and a Pinot Noir
The service was friendly and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed our last night in Steamboat Springs before the 640km (400 mile) drive to Jackson, WY the next day.
Would we return again? – absolutely.

This is one of our regular dinners in Steamboat. Food is always good. This year we had a very lazy server. We had to keep aksing for everything.....rolls, drinks, forks, etc.
