The Inn at Steamboat was very quiet when we stayed there (between ski and summer seasons) but they were still able to provide a good service. Very high quality room at a very reasonable price and a very pleasant and helpful manageress.

I almost booked at the Sheraton Steamboat and really didn't want to spend nearly $200/night for a place to sleep. I am so glad that I looked at Trip Advisor reviews for The Inn at Steamboat (for only $99/night). Don't be fooled by the non-descript photo of the outside of the hotel. The rooms are fantastic - and probably nicer than many 4 star hotels. The beds are some of the best that I have ever slept on... Seriously! Very quiet location. Main things that you need to keep in mind: maid service is every other day (but then who really changes there sheets and towels daily at home???) and the front desk is only staffed during the day. All of that is fine by me - I'd rather have a terrific room at a reasonable price. Oh, and free parking, a swimming pool, and free wi-fi, too! It would be my first choice for a return trip to Steamboat - and I will definitely recommend to others.

My wife and I took a small get away trip from Denver for an extended weekend. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. The decor was very nice and updated. It was an excellent place for a little R&R.

This was my boyfriend and I's first skiing trip and being from the UK we had done a fair bit of traveling before our arrival and we were not disappointed...
This hotel was a great, the staff were so warm and welcoming when we arrived and this continued throughout the holiday whether it was the friendly shuttle driver who gave us many an idea to eat or the front desk who gave us plenty of information and advice when we asked!
The room we had was nice and big with a balcony (not private but made the room feel bigger) the bathroom was a bit small but had everything we needed and meant it was lovely and warm when you got out of the shower! The beds were really big and comfy, had a great nights sleep!! Open hanging space for wardrobe and iron and ironing board with extra pillows and blankets in (although it was plenty warm with the bedding already on the bed!!
The shuttle was really convenient taking us from the hotel to the ski area and only took about 5 minutes (better than the 15-20 minute walk in the cold) It was also really great for us as it ran till 5:15 so could go for a drink in one the bars after our ski lessons before heading back to the hotel! The shuttle also did a late night run into downtown where all the restaurants are and the driver would drop you at whichever restaurant you were going to, which was great as it meant less walking in the freezing cold! The bus stop is around the corner we found getting off at the Herbage stop the easiest as you then just walk down the little hill, only takes about 5 minutes if that to get to the hotel!
There was a gym, swimming pool and hot tub, we didn't use the first two but the hot tub was gorgeous even though it was freezing before getting in, once in there with the bubbles on it was the perfect relax after a day of skiing!!
The complimentary breakfast was also great, it had healthy choices like fruit, yogurt, cereals and also the lesser healthy choice of bagels, English muffins, fruit muffins, waffles and microwave eggs wrapped in something (didn't actual try one but everyone who ate one seemed to enjoy it).
All in all it was great value for money and it had a great ski character with old ski equipment and photos decorating the lobby, corridors and rooms! It did not disappoint!

We couldn't get thru Rabbit Ears Pass, so we didn't make it to the Inn for our reserved night, causing them to have a booked room with no occupants in it. When we called the next morning, we asked if we could stay there a few nights later with no penalty. Jennifer was phenomenal and gave us a great deal on a room, even though they were almost fully booked. Gen & Jennifer have both been stellar. The rooms are very clean and quaint and the location is very close to skiing. Will stay here every time I come back to Steamboat.

I booked a 7 night stay at the Inn at Steamboat Springs, and I am so glad that I did. We had a very enjoyable stay from the time we checked in, until we checked out.

First, the location was excellent, right on the mountain, within a 10 minute shuttle ride to Steamboat Srpings Resort. The hotel provides excellent shuttle service every 20 minutes until 11:00 AM. They also pick up promptly starting at 3:00 PM. We did not have to use our car to drive to the mountain during our entire stay. Ther e is also a free bus service within walking distance of the hotel, but we did not have to use it.

They also provide an adequate breakfast in their dining room between 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM. It is standard fare of cereal, oatmeal, waffles, bread and pastries, breakfast burritos, as well as juices, coffee and tea.

Our room was very large and nicely appointed a king-size bed with a very comfortable pillow-top mattress, that was inviting after a long day of skiing. It also has a flat-screen TV with cable channels. There is also a small refrigerator and coffee maker. There is no microwave in the room, but there are 2 located in the breakfast room, which was very convenient to our room.

There is also an exercise room, pool and jacuzzi.

The staff was very helpful, and always willing to accomodate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Inn at Steamboat Spings, and would not hesitate to stay there again.

The staff truly try to give good service; they could benefit from a basic course in service and customer relations. The locals recommendations for restaurants were mostly miss, to the point that we discovered the opposite was true. Due to the location of the hotel, the closest free bus stop is a short, cold, uphill walk but the return ride is very long as it's almost the last stop. So from downtown, it could be an hour or more to get to the stop. As for the hotel shuttle service, when they say be downstairs for departure time for the shuttle to the ski area, they mean it. The weekend shuttle driver was surly and clearly doesn't want any tips. The housekeeping/breakfast staff were friendly and did a good job. The beds were very comfortable and the room was good size.
