“First holiday cottage experience”
Reviewed 2 January 2017 for a stay in November 2016

Excellent location to visit Oxford. We used Park and Ride which suited us perfectly.Good food at local hostelry.

Did not give five stars. Still a new property BUT the floor where you had to stand getting out of the shower has suffered water damage I think. It felt spongey underfoot. The burn in the shape of an iron in the bedroom doorway was not pretty. Could not get the lower oven to work. The upper oven had remnants of a previous occupants pizza. Some of the light bulbs not working. These little points may be an 'end of season' feeling found in all holiday cottages and may have already been sorted. Small niggles that stopped me giving top marks to otherwise excellent accommodation, excellent location and we had a good break.

Towels were provided.

“Great (quiet) accomodation to explore Oxford”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed at Willow House for five nights but it could easily have been more.
The place is well equipped with lots of space (for four people), a nice patio and a modern shower/bathroom. Warren, the owner, is a friendly and helpful person - although we didn`t see him often in these four days.
There is a lovely walk to Oxford along the river Thames but it`ll take you approximately 1 hour to get there - so you might take the bus/car instead?

“Superb - well appointed / well equipped spotlessly clean / holiday rental”
Reviewed 12 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

The Barnes family thoroughly enjoyed Willow House it was really well situated for Oxford and Sandford Lock and nice walks along the Thames. Good bus service to Oxford (bus stop only 50 yards from house). It was the best equipped holiday rental we have ever stayed in and Warren the owner was a very nice helpful chap.

Stayed here in September.

Very nice house and you can walk to Oxford along the Thames, or take a bus (£2) or a Taxi (£12)

It had everything we needed an a cracking WiFi speed that was very useful

“Well equipped and very clean”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Friendly welcome from Warren on arrival. Lovely property with well equipped kitchen. Comfortable, clean house with nice furnishings and quiet location with parking space.. Good location for city centre - we found park and ride easiest as buses infrequent. Oxford is a lovely city with lots to do and see.

“Quality, Affordable Property”
Reviewed 4 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The house is new, well furnished, comfortable and very convenient for Oxford and the river. The owner was unable to meet us at the property but that did not prove to be a problem.

The amenities are of a high standard, we particularly liked the large shower and the kitchen appliances. However if you plan to cook some of the non-stick pans are quite burnt and scratched. Also the only large knife is a bread knife, which made slicing a gammon joint a challenge.

There is a washing machine but no dryer or means to dry clothes, which seemed odd. Again, not a problem for us as we dried on a relative's line because the weather was good. We also did not find any towels but fortunately Sainsburys is very close.

We did not find the sloping ceiling in the master bedroom to be an issue. The area was very quiet and we had a peaceful, relaxing week.
