“Not worth the money”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2009

We were placed in this hotel by the owner of a condo that we had rented. Seems the owner decided to renovate the condo we rented during the week we had booked and paid . The owner of the condo must have gotten a good deal as this place is not what we paid for.
There was blood all over the blanket on our bed! Lights in the bedroom were burned out, the shades in the bedroom would not go up or down. The dishes had to be washed before using -they were crusted with food. The couch had duct tape to cover a hole. The TV reception was terrible. We reported this but our complaints went unanswered. We woke up each morning to the sound of construction. A cheap place that is not clean!

Booked 2 nights. Arrived and was told that there was no parking. Had to unload and drive several blocks to another lot. Construction on multi-story building right next to the room with numerous large machines. Opened window in AM to full view of workers. Shade on the window did not block light which woke my wife at dawn. No air vent, no coffee maker or fridge. Cups were so cheap that when I poured milk into one it flowed right through. Animals welcome-people aren't.
The beds were unbelievable-thin ratty hotel mattresses that you can buy for $50 a set. My wife awoke at dawn (thin shade mentioned earlier) with a back ache. We decided to get out -the hotel staff would not refund or cancel the second night so we were stuck paying for it. Expedia also would not refund though they called the hotel to attempt. Amazingly, the staff offered a 20% discount on a future stay.

Barebones accomodations (ants included in ours!). Reminded me of the cheap frathouses from the college days. Location is good for skiing - on lift 7 after a 2 minute walk across the parking lot. Good for people who will not be in room except to sleep.

We booked a package deal that included lift tickets. It was a great deal considering lift tickets are $92 per adult per day. The hotel is right across a small parking lot from one of the lifts, which made it almost ski-in/ski-out. The room wasn't fancy by any means, but we had no complaints. The property is within walking distance to the gondola and all bars/restaurants in town. Be sure to let them know if you are checking in after 7pm, otherwise you will need special instructions (we weren't aware of the late check in policies). Overall a great value.

Ok this place probably isn’t winning a 4 Diamond Award anytime soon but Its clean, super cheap and right downtown.

My wife and I just stayed there again over the 4th of July and it was great. If you are on a budget and trust me you will be when you find out how much $$$ everything else in that town is, there are kitchens in most of the rooms, you can walk to everything and this place definitely wont break the bank.

I have been coming to Telluride for a while and compared to the other cheapo spots in town this place is by far THE BEST value…and the hot tub holds like 20 people.

After towels and garbage built up a GIANT pile in our room after 3 days we were told the hotel had no staff and we would have to take care of our own garbage. The place is dirty and completely dated. We had to beg to get toilet paper for our room and THEN had to go to the front desk to get it our self.

This place sucks and I would not recomend or stay there again.

I was very impressed with the accommodations at the Telluride Mountain Lodge.

The rooms were clean, had all the basic amenities, the staff was hospitable/responsive and, was a stone's throw away from two of the Telluride Resort ski lifts.

To be fair, this is a ski lodge....not the Ritz. It's for the skier that is looking for a decent room, a good soaking spa to relax in after going up on the mountain and, the convenience of a two block walk to all the local restaurants/stores/bars.

I have stayed there in both the Winter and Summer. I love the location equally for both seasons! It backs right up to the mountain. So, whether it's for skiing or hiking, both are easily accessible.

If you are looking for a shee-shee spa like resort, definitely not this hotel. But, if you are looking for an awesome/convenient location in town, clean facilities, basic amenities and a comfortable bed, then this is the perfect property for you!

I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
