This was our second stay at Camels Garden and we can't wait for our return trip. They have wonderful, large rooms. We stayed in a king suite each time. They are well appointed with plenty of space for our dogs. (yes, they allow dogs!) The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the town and surrounding area. The breakfast is an above average continental. With self serve, off-street parking and center of town location, it's the best deal in T-ride.

Room Tip: A ground floor king suite has personal door outside next to the creek. Perfect for travelers with dogs.

We stayed at Camel's Garden after purchasing a Living Social Escape last fall. We went during the off season, and still loved our time there. The room was spacious and very clean. Camel's Garden is pet friendly which was what we were looking for. The bbq restaurant downstairs was good, its within walking distance to many other great restaurants. My wife had a facial and I had a massage at the hotel spa. Both were excellent. Staff was helpful and kind in every interaction. Its a perfect spot during ski season, a lift is literally right next door. Will definitely stay again.

My girlfriend and I just visited Telluride and stayed at the Camel's Garden Hotel. First thing people should know about this hotel is that it has an awesome location. The river trail is right in the back yard, the gondola to Mountain Village is 30 feet from the entrance, and everything you need in town is right at your fingertips. The hotel itself is everything you'd want in a mountain-side lodge. The rooms have a terrific warmth to them (......and that's not just from the fireplace in them), breakfast is served daily, there's a killer hot-tub on the the roof with a great view, parking is included, and the staff is AAA gold. Everyone we met in the hotel was kind, helpful, and just downright good people. If you get an itch for some good BBQ and craft beers, Oak Restaurant & Bar is located right in the hotel.

All in all........loved this place. Looking forward to going back. Thanks for the recommendation, Johnny Afro!

Gorgeous and spacious rooms. Very clean and comfortable. I initially booked our stay here through Expedia but decided to add a day to our stay here and Mike at Camel Garden was awesome to work with. Would definitely stay here again, and again and again!!

We booked a Select King room, which was very spacious, and all of the furnishings in it looked brand new. The bathroom in particular was really modern and elegant; definitely the nicest bathroom on our trip, with citrusy toiletries that even my husband liked. The balcony faced the Telluride gondola, which occasionally made a very faint clanking noise. It wasn’t a problem at all when trying to sleep, and the gondola was actually quite fun to watch. My only issue with the balcony is that it was shared with the room next door, which I found a little creepy; we were careful to close the blinds when dressing and undressing, in case anyone wandered out there. If we stayed there again, I would definitely request a private balcony. The wi-fi was also intermittent in our room (although free, which is nice!). And like others, we missed having a fridge. The room also became surprisingly warm at night, even though it was very cold and raining outside. We checked that our heater was off, and then since we couldn’t keep the door open (see “shared balcony”, above), we turned on the window A/C unit, which solved the problem.

I also have to say that the front desk staff was extremely welcoming and friendly on check-in and at all times. And, the huge rooftop hot tub is delightful. More like a small heated swimming pool really, and since we were the only ones using it at the time I was able to swim a few laps.
Overall, this is a great hotel and location in Telluride for the price.

Room Tip: Request a private balcony
