“wonderful service and amenities”

Just returned from a four day ski trip. Staff was friendly and the rides back and forth to the gondola were great. We didn't really need to touch our skis. Once we arrived back at the hotel, everything was taken care of. Rooms are large, hot tubs welcoming and breakfast is hearty. The little fridges and microwaves in room allow you to keep groceries and take home leftovers. Only downside was heater in the room that was the only source of heat and had was loud. Very welcoming, friendly place and would stay here again without question. Being in the town of Telluride is so much better than staying in Mountain Village and this hotel is a great option and walkable to the main restaurants.

Room Tip: all rooms have either balconies or little patios. Rooms 219 is a double with a huge deck and a great...

Friend and I spent four days in Telluride for a ski weekend. The hotel was a great spot and a great deal for the money. The staff was all very welcoming and greeted us any time we walked in the door. The location was very convenient right on the main drag. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to take you anywhere in town. We used it once to get dropped off at the gondola with all our skis and equipment. Other than that we walked from e hotel everywhere else in town. Hotel offers parking for $20/day but we were able to find free street parking right across the street.

I come to Telluride at least twice a year and always stay at Hotel Telluride. I don't even bother checking other hotels in the area. Rooms are comfy, clean and spacious, food in the Nook is tasty, lobby is very cozy with a fireplace and even a guitar!!! But what makes this place #1 for me, is the staff; helpful, courteous, and always smiling.

Not a negative thing to say…Staff was wonderful. Had a 3-night stay the week before ski season opened. The staff was on top of anything we needed. Even had the ski-rental company come directly to the hotel to measure us for ski's and boots. Anywhere we wanted to go, the hotel van would drop us off and pick us up…not one long wait. Hotel was very quiet…the doors are even set to close quietly…something you don't see in almost every hotel. I almost wish I had something negative to say so people don't find out how wonderful they all were…we will be returning the same week in 2012!

We stayed one night after a long trip from newyork, on our way to a family event in telluride. Very nice staff!! Beautiful comfy lobby. Our room was #215. Our bed was very comfortable and had great pillows althught we found the room to be quite small. Our rate included breakfast in the lobby at "the nook" (which really is a nook). Food was good, so was the coffee.
Easy walk to the center of town. Hotel also provides free shuttle to lifts or any place in town.

I spent more than a year writing guidebooks for Moon Handbooks, and after that year, I've always delighted in hotels that provide great service, with a personal touch. That's exactly what the Hotel Telluride offers. Walk in and an enthusiastic staff greets you, along with a lobby full of games, a guitar for strumming--and in the winter, endless supplies of hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and spiced apple cider. Once you make it to your spacious, well-lit room, call the front desk for the perfect pillow for your sleep style...or a DVD player to watch your favorite movies. The Hotel Telluride also makes it easy to stay-in with microwaves, refrigerators, plateware, and untensils in the rooms--not to mention a humidifier for easing the dry Colorado air. Plus the hotel has nice hot tubs and a small workout center. If, though, going out is your thing, the hotel shuttle will take you where you need in town--snowshoeing, skiing, etc--and the staff can readily recommend good restaurants, activities, and more. The Hotel Telluride has thought of everything, and I'm ready to go back.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Cornett street or the middle school are ideal.

We just returned from a vacation in Telluride, choosing the Hotel Telluride again. We were not disappointed with the room (324) which was very spacious. Service was great and I would recommend this as a great location for access to downtown shops, restaurants and the gondola for skiing. Only comment I would have that was not positive was the breakfast food and dinner food at the hotel restaurant was not as good as it should be for a property of this level. But this is a nit and easily remedied.
