Went here for breakfast just short of 8:30 a.m. and were the only people in line and there was 1 table filled already. The person at the register definitely didn't want to be bothered. We had the gluten free bluecorn waffle which came with a few fresh sliced peaches, bananas, and whipped cream. Then had the 2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, 6 bites of potatoes, and 2 slices of toast, 1 coffee (which was bitter).

Consider this is cafeteria style so you wait in line to order, then go to one area to get water and silverware, another area to get coffee. You then sit down with a number on your table and they bring your food. For 2 people the bill was just under $30.00. I expect service or at least some pleasantries for that price.

Also considering we were there at 8:30 a.m. the place was unclean. The front windows were dirty on the inside. It appeared they definitely don't clean them daily. Tables had grease/smudges on them that you could see as well.

I needed gluten free so tried this place, but it was after going to Maggie's Bakery and Cafe (970-728-3334). Can't speak for their food, but it had great atmosphere and very nice staff.

Would definitely not return to this place or recommend it.

“Free salsa, tight spaces, delicious food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2013

Title pretty much covers it- you get access to unlimited chips and salsa with your meal, the seating was a bit crowded, and the food I ordered- tamales with anasazi beans, garlic grilled vegetables, and horchata- all tasted scrumptious. This is one of the more affordable restaurants in the Telluride area, and the decor was packed with color and personality.

One of our favorite restaurants in Telluride, go for the patio if weather is nice. Great food & service @ reasonable prices.

“Casual Great Breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2013

Stopped in for a quick bite before heading out of town to get coffe but after looking at a menu decided to stay for breakfast. They had fresh squeezed orange juice and very good espresso. The salsas were tasty without being red hot and it complimented my scrambled eggs, refritos and tortillas. Also had some of the house fried potatoes and they were nice and crispy which is always appreciated. Poached eggs on my companions plate were not cooked properly (too runny for a request of "medium" but that was the only negative

“Wouldn't eat there again”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2013

If you like "health food," this might be your place. If not, the food could be considered just OK to not so good. Although all the flies seemed to like it! And while some reviewed the prices as "reasonable," I can only assume they meant "reasonable for Telluride!" The prices are steep everywhere in Telluride these days. In full confession, our preference is to avoid Telluride completely anymore. We loved what it used to be but hate what it has become. We only visited this time to show friends the area - and the area is still beautiful, as long as you stay out of city limits! Of course, if you like places like Aspen and Crested Butte, you'll like Telluride!
