We got and “Extra Vacation Getaway” thru RCI and really enjoyed the Sandstone Creek Club. We had a 2 bedroom which worked great for our family. Had a full kitchen so we ate in most days. When you look at the pictures online you can tell this place isn’t the Ritz with its brick interior walls, but those walls and concrete floors make the place very quiet, which I really appreciate! The indoor-outdoor pool was excellent but I found the SPAs to be way too hot. Could only stay in them a few minutes. The private shuttle from the resort worked out real well and they drop you at Lionshead or Vail Village which is real convenient. We would definitely go back again!

Have stayed at Sandstone Creek several times. It is my place of choice in Vail. Rooms are spacious, clean and furnishing are great! My room has always had a gas fireplace...this year noticed that they have a timer on the fireplace..you can choose how long you want the fire on.
Full kitchen. Twice I have had a loft...very spacious upstairs. Indoor/outdoor swimming pool.
Front desk staff is very helpful. Shuttle drivers are great!!!! Shuttle leaves every half hour in morning and later afternoon to get skiers to and from the mountain. - Vail is two miles away!!!
Each room has it own balcony.

Room Tip: If you can get a two bedroom - loft, you will love the spaciousness...

We were here in February for skiing at Vail. We booked thru Wyndham RCI for a 2 bedroom unit. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the 2nd building. There was some covered parking (first come, first served) as well as outside parking available. We parked in the covered garage so it would be convenient to get our skis out of the back of the car instead of the ski lockers on the 1st floor. The building and unit is older, but spacious. Enjoyed the gas fireplace that has a timer. Our view out the sliding glass door was of the parking lot, so we missed looking at the magnificent Vail mountain in the evenings after skiing! The unit appeared to be a lock off unit, but the king size bed was on the side with the washer and dryer with a bathroom, which I thought was odd. The 2nd bedroom had 2 queen beds and a full bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked although small. Appliances are full sized and we made our meals every night except for Tuesday night pulled pork dinner for $5. Every thing was spicy! Dining table and living room area were comfortable. Everything was clean. TVs in 2 bedrooms and the living room.

Check in was slow and delayed. We checked in early and expected to wait, but 4 PM came and went and we were still waiting in their lobby. They refunded our $10 meal fee because we were patient and waited. I

t was easier to lug our luggage up to our room rather than use the elevator at the far end of the building...Maintenance was prompt in fixing a closet door that was off the track.

The shuttle service was great and the drivers are super nice. Don't walk into the lobby with your ski boots on...the young kid at the desk pretty much yelled at me that I couldn't be in there when I came inside to get out of the cold while waiting for the shuttle.

The metal stairs are noisy when folks are walking up and down them. The humidifiers (one for each bedroom) are noisy but effective.

My husband enjoyed the hot tub in the main part of the building. I did not use the hot tub or swimming pool.

This place is nicer than some of the older resorts we have stayed in Vail. We would stay here again.

Great location creek side. But the staff are much need of improvement. The resort manager has very poor people skills and is very unprofessional , and the staff behaves alot like her. It's a I don't care attitude. Movies don't get turned in. Movies get lost , takes staff hours to just get a plate and a bowl. Very challenging place to stay

Stayed here September 15th thru the 22nd. The place was very clean and neat but did show some signs of aging but maintenance seemed to be on top of it and were doing, or getting ready to do, repairs and renovations. We stayed in a 2-bedroom condo which I thought to be just a little on the small, but confortable side. Humidifiers (1 per bedroom) were supplied which we found out was a "must". The humidity was very, very low - not what we were accustomed to being from the Carolinas.
All in all, a plesant stay.
