....we headed to colorado to get out of the heat for a few days over the 4th of july weekend.....ended up in vail at the mountain haus after camping a couple of nights north of georgetown. we were lucky enough to get a room for the night. the room was awesome, the location perfect, everything about the hotel was first rate. andrew at the front desk went out of his way. i highly recommend staying here, and we will be back.

With the beautiful, amazing sights around you in Vail, Colorado you wouldn't think that you would spend much time in your room. The Mountain Haus makes it nice to come home to at the end of the day. The rooms are spacious, clean and they tend to all be a little different than the other. The staff is amazing! We Love and Enjoy our trip every year and will continue to return to our Home away from Home!

Room Tip: Every one that we hav stayed in has been very nice

This is our second visit to Vail and Mountain Haus in 2 years. I can't tell you how exceptional our stays have been. The rooms are much roomier and more hospitable than a sterile hotel room. The service is professional yet friendly, and request are handled promptly. There is continental breakfast served every morning and a pub/restaurant on site. Parking is free and across the street. In summary, a hotel with great value. I would not hessitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We've been coming here for years. We love this place. It looks and feels like an upscale hotel, but is actually a whole building of condominiums. First class all the way. Every year gets better and better. Friendly helpful staff, and the best thing of all is that the same staff is there year after year. They remembered our name when we arrived last summer after a two year absence. Imagine that. Impressive. We just made our reservations for this summer visit, and Samantha was just so helpful. Best location. Best service. Highly recommended. Jim & Elsie.

Room Tip: Just ask, they always help us to the hilt.

My wife and I stayed here due to a winter storm that closed Vail pass. When we told the front desk agent, he was really nice and gave us the stranded traveler discount. We chose the 1 bedroom condo because of the great price they were offering due to the storm. The lobby was full of other people that were stuck as well. Many people were waiting for the pass to open (it didn't open until midnight!) They were enjoying the nice fireplace as well as the cookies, coffee, hot cider and hot chocolate that are free in the lobby.

When we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised by the size. It had a full kitchen, nice balcony and large living room. They even had a Brita pitcher for us to use. We didn't cook in the kitchen sionce we were only staying for one night.

It was our first time to Vail, so we wanted to try one of the great restaurants that we had heard about. The concierge gave us some great tips about places and they were all within walking distance. We decided to try the steak place across the street (review on the way.)

After dinner we walked by the front desk again and the concierge asked us how everything was. While we were talking she mentioned the hot tubs. What a wonderful experience to sit in an outdoor hot tub with snow coming down. It was so romantic!!!!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was a good size especially considering the great price. We were within walking distance to everything and they had a really nice spa area. We even found a bowling alley right down the street.

We would highly recommend this place.

We had a group stay at Mountain Haus for a 4 day ski weekend. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo, we were told it was owned by a doctor from Michigan. It was well furnished and very clean. There was an ample amount of kitchenware if you wanted to cook, we did not. There is a good breakfast available in the morning (complimentary), with plenty of selections.

The location of Mountain Haus is perfect. It is right at the covered bridge, a 5 minute walk to the vista bahn lift and all of the attractions of vail village are right there. There is a nice little bar in the basement of Mountain Haus that the locals hang out at which is really nice. You didn't even have to put shoes on to go downstairs for a drink.

The folks at Mountain Haus can really make your stay easy. They can arrange shuttle service, stock the room with groceries, recommend where to get the best rental equipment and what restaurants to eat at. I found the service to be exceptional. One hint that they will tell you is that when you arrange a shuttle from the airport, you can just have the shuttle driver stop at a store so you can stock up your room. The staff can also give you some excellent tips on how to avoid the crowds on the lifts that occur on weekends, so make sure you ask them.

I'd highly recommend this to someone who want to ski vail and have a touch of luxury with their stay. For the price, you can't beat this level of quality in vail village.

Room Tip: There is usually plenty of room for a rollaway bed

We rented a three bedroom and while the room had been updated, the furniture was super budget and it did not compare to many newer condos, The building was in worse shape than the unit - two ultra slow elevators, breakfast in a basement room across from the laundry. There are no ski lockers for guests and no parking. Water pressure for showers is variable. The sauna and steam room are each the size of small closets and the overall exprience is one of compromise. THe key advantage is a good location near the mountain, but other than that, there is not much to recommend,
